Man, I wasn't going to go to Cleveland. Now I'm getting the itch.

I would imagine any D-1 basketball commit added to a regular high school basketball team, would be able to put up huge numbers against another regular high school basketball team. While I don't know anything about his new school, I'd wager that he was by far the most talented and likely the biggest guy on the floor for either team. Picture adding him to a local school like Hamburg or Sweet Home and think of the difference he would make to that team instantly, as opposed to the basketball factory that he came from.

Gotta start with a win Tuesday. I can’t wait to see Akron get knocked off again.

Another mental challenge. Will we have a let down effect after a grueling victory. I watched Ohio tonight...they don’t know how to win just yet and ball pressure can disorientate them. A game we should win. But being on the road and the let down factor can make this interesting.

Well, no help from anyone this week. We're still sitting in 4th (tied with NIU for 3rd, but they've got the tiebreak on us) with 1 game up on BSU and 2 games up on Kent. I'd like to think that 3+ wins all but guarantees a top 4 spot and 2 wins would put us in at least a tie for 4th. As we've seen, the Bulls can win against anyone, or the opposite. Let's hope for another one for the good guys on Tuesday.

It can work. Just have to have the right player and play. BG just beat Ohio with a Justin Turner basket with 2.2 to go. Turner got a screen, a switch, rest of teammates were on baseline (eg plenty of room to go one on one.) and after making the big guy look silly made the basket. And he didn’t go at it until 6.9 seconds left. Boals blew it from the Ohio bench. Absolutely no bobkitten even moved to help. And to rub salt in the wounds Ohio missed the front end of a one and one with 17 seconds left.

Honestly, I agree with this Fred guy. Mental illness is no joke. None of us know what Frye has gone through or what the backstory is here. At the end of the day, these players are people too. I hope UB routs BG on the court, of course, but I also hope that Frye gets (or has received) whatever help he needs. No need to bring personal stuff into the game.....let our guys' play on the court do the talking. Just my two cents.

I'm not a BG fan, but I remember a few years back when a Ball State player killed himself during the season. Not saying this was an issue for Frye, as I have no idea. Just saying that a guy taking time off for his mental health (if that's what happened) is fine with me. This kid should not be stigmatized or made fun of. That's warped, in my opinion. I raised a son with a mood disorder, and I can tell you that it's pretty serious business. If you think being depressed is just someone being a baby, you are dangerously wrong. Sorry for crashing your board with my sermons. I sometimes come on other MAC boards to see what's up, and I was really upset by some of the comments that I saw here. I don't know if a sports message board is a place where it's possible to get people thinking about their attitudes, but I had to try. Peace, and I will leave you Bulls to yourselves.
