  1. Wow that senior ceremony on espn3 was awesome. We are big time.
  2. Maryland? They program has so many issues. It's a step up in prestige, but we're a better program at this moment.
  3. If he’s 6-9 then UB needs to fix their site. That’s like someone remembering me as 5-3. I would be pretty insulted. Also for those that have social media, please share this post. We need more people to vote to declare the greatest UB basketball player.
  4. Thanks for looking that up. Wow I would have thought Javon had more boards. So which is it. 6-2 or 6-9. That is a huge difference.
  5. Had to look more closely at Sam Pellom http://ubbulls.com/HOF/bios/pellom_samuel?view=bio hes currently the only NBA player from UB. Was shocked to see that he was only 6-2 and yet is UBs leading rebounder. Does anyone know who has more career rebounds? McCrea or Pellom? I think my deciding vote will have to come down to that http://ubbulls.com/HOF/bios/pellom_samuel?view=bio
  6. We are down to Four of UBs greatest. Mall Four very deserving candidates.
  7. I think Steve Smith is giving good advice. If the receiver can’t catch your balls, you need to adjust. The point is to throw so the receiver can catch it.
  8. Looks like Tyree might be having a rough combine. https://sports.yahoo.com/why-the-nfl-combine-is-buzzing-over-a-hardthrowing-qb-whos-messing-up-peoples-money-224434463.html I said this when watching games. He needs to not throw so hard on those short throws. Problem is that I don't think he knows how to mix speeds with accuracy on throws. He just knows how to throw hard.
  9. The reputation level is back. If someone has some cool pips/images, I'm all ears.
  10. Well, I decided that I miss the old site so I was able to upgrade the old site and it is working now.
  11. All, With the upgrade to php7.2, the old board (2002-2018) is no longer functional. It was a nice read once in a while, but I guess all good things must come to an end.
  12. Site has been upgraded to the latest version of software and is also running PHP7.2. Hopefully this helps with some malware issues I might have had.
  13. Apologies for the outage last night. For some reason the site maxed out on memory so I’m trying to figure out why. I doubt it was our natural traffic, I would lean more towards some bot traffic that was hitting the site.
  14. Great win. Maybe our best road win behind Syracuse. Withst win it’s; CJ 5 - Navigato 2. Thank you Navigato for decommiting. I do hope Toledo finishes strong and perhaps gets an at large consideration. I think it’s possible.
  15. ESPN insider says it’s the new norm. Not great for the team and fans but it’s good for the player I guess. http://insider.espn.com/college-football/insider/story/_/id/26000165/the-2019-quarterback-recruits-shake-next-year-transfer-market
  16. I did invest in buying the bulletin board this year but the ads offset the costs. Do appreciate it if you click add from this site as opposed to other sites.
  17. It’s going to be a dog fight in Cleveland. Let’s just win the tourney again.
  18. Tight match between Young/Watt and Martinho/Hamilton. Right now both number 1 seeds look like they will fall. Tough to compare eras, but Young and Martinho were a dynamic duo. Battle crushing his backcourt running mate Cage.
  19. This is not based on science but being ranked has really caught peoples attention. I think casual b-ball fans are actually watching the games when we are on TV. Playing on ESPNU/2 CBSSN as just another team vs being a ranked team is really different. People are actually saying let’s check this Buffalo team out. Again not scientific. Just based on texts I’ve received from my friends who are not buffalo alums. I gotta say Alumni Arena looked really good on TV today. Part of it was the high production value of ESPNU but our arena looked pretty legit on TV.
  20. Alright. We're onto the Sweet Sixteen. I see that we're really heavy on the later generation players. Understandable. Some notes: Sam Pellom - Many consider him the greatest basketball player at UB. http://www.ubbulls.com/HOF/bios/pellom_samuel?view=bio Jim Horne - Scored 1857 points, averaged 24.9 points (pre 3 point shot), Harlem Globetrotter. Doing the math, in 1950s they played a lot less games. http://www.ubbulls.com/HOF/bios/horne_james?view=bio Martinho - Martinho was this small skinny white kid who everyone thought was a scrub. Then out of nowhere, he pulled off these passes and 3s. Not to be racist, but he was especially loved by all those white frat boys. http://www.ubbulls.com/HOF/bios/martinho_michael?view=bio Rasaun Young - A brash player. Not overly athletic and big, but somehow scored. I still don't know how. Maybe his best attribute was his strength and footwork (something not seen in SGs) http://www.ubbulls.com/HOF/bios/young_rasaun?view=bio Curtis Blackmore - All-time career rebounder (wonder if McCrea broke his record) http://www.ubbulls.com/HOF/bios/blackmore_curtis?view=bio
  21. I’ve been so impressed by Caruthers. He is so tough. Also didn’t realize that he’s as athletic as he is.
  22. I guess I am wrong. I see many writers moving us up. Good for us.
