  1. UB should be more than willing to come down to the NYC area to play. I live down here, while at Iona Pitino wants to play games at the Garden, Barclays and the new arena in LI. He wants a strong metro area footprint. And as said he can coach and will prolly have Iona dancing every year. UB should jump at the shot to come down state and establish some roots here ourselves. Just my opinion.
  2. I don’t either except if she would’ve taken the job this close to the season. School starts in a couple weeks, to me it would’ve been unfair to the players on the roster. And obviously would’ve left the program in shambles.
  3. If he leads us to the big dance a time or 2 before he portals out, are we all happy?
  4. While we love the bigs that we have on the roster, guard play wins games. Just look at the national title game. We loaded up on bigs, now time to solidify the backcourt. Love this addition.
  5. Big roster. Wonder if anyone will redshirt? Perhaps a big.
  6. To this point I don’t see Boals remaining at Ohio long if he has another successful year. I know it’s his alam mater but the man can flat out recruit. Winning in the MAC and being able to recruit will move you up in the world. Just ask Oats.
  7. I’ve contributed pennies to the basketball funds. Wish I was in a position to give more. Hopefully we get and continue to get players drafted into leagues and they get to a financial position where they can give to athletics. Example: has Mack (Hope he has) donated to the football team? Not trying to get into his pocket but that’s an example of what I mean.
  8. I agree. And I do take pride in us being a place where a coach can come win and move on. But our window as a university doesn’t come often also. Administration has to realize that. Heck even if we just upgrade facilities and become the most dominant program in the MAC. That’s cool. But now isn’t the time to rest on what we’ve accomplished over the last 5-10 years.
  9. As I said I get the nature of the beast. But I’m tired of it. Our athletics program as a whole from football to basketball to swimming to wrestling have grown and become good. Time to reinvest into them. Time for massive upgrades. Upgrades that will grow the university and make us appeal to a bigger conference. It will take time but should be started. Bc in this college landscape if you aren’t proactive, you get left behind. I rather see us proactive. Rant over.
  10. Them Cuse bums won it all. Frenetic ending to that game.
  11. I understand this is the nature of the beast but to leave her players and the university this late shows no loyalty. I get it’s the nature of the beast. And it’s her alma mater and bla bla bla but the timing sucks. I’m just venting frustration at UB once again being a launching pad rather than a destination. In the next round of conference realignment, we need to move up. We need upgraded facilities. I’m tired of it. Our athletics has come too far to revert back to what it was.
  12. Aside from Perkins wanting to brawl, this was fun. With Wes this is a different story. But proud of these guys. It was fun to go down memory lane. Hopefully they continue on to success in their careers. And the mojo they had rubbed off on our current Bulls.
  13. Too many turnovers and not enough 3s. Bad combo. Team 23 making plays and shots.
  14. Athletic and tall was our issue against Kentucky and Texas Tech. Make a few 3s we can win this.
  15. Just keep it tight. Team 23 is good. This is gonna be a battle. Hopefully we make a few 3s
  16. Bearden off to a great start. Good start offensively by both teams.
  17. Is it me or did he travel? He tipped the ball a few times to himself while taking steps into his layup.
  18. If it’s defense then go to Jordan or Dontay. Notice how when it was do or die Dontay was on the floor. And came up with two big stops.
  19. Surprising because Bearden was a standout in the first half.
  20. The other guys are useful to steal minutes. Especially since we play tomorrow at 2:30. But in the clutch yes those guys. But every game its been someone different. Tonight Blake really had a good game. And Perkins dominated.
  21. No doubt. For tournament it’s awesome. Just wonder how it plays out through the course of an entire season.
  22. I like the Elam ending but I’m torn as to how it could be implemented in college. For example…let’s say we are blowing a team out by 20. Usually the bench warmers close the game out. With the Elam ending you’d have to play your regulars the whole game.
  23. I’m getting ahead one game but imagine if it’s us versus Boeheim’s army.
