Coach has a chance to show how quickly he can learn. I expect he’ll do quite a bit of self reflection

And that’s why ub is the way it is. It’s called investment, I could easily find a million dollars of waste on that campus that should be redirected towards athletics. Do you want me to start listing all of them?
How many employees are in different classifications and should be reclassified but won’t because they would take a $30k pay cut?
Giving random employees $30k pay cuts is not good for the local community. We should be able to fund a great basketball team without hurting employees.

Both seem to have modest funding targets. I could afford a few bucks. Just curious, are these donations tax deductible?
How do the 11 players divide up the $270 / month? By minutes played ratio?

Is there a basketball one?

UB is first place in the MAC!!!! And they control their own destiny. If they win out they are a 1 seed in the post season and auto birth to the NIT!!!!!!!

Chatman - he's trying to be a go-to guy. Finished off some dunks second half. I like when he plays with some confidence.
Sabol - he's a freshman, consistent performances are not in the cards yet. Nothing was dropping for him.Chatman: He has a ton of potential but doesn’t work hard enough. He has his moments but I also see him holding back for some reason. And he needs to stop playing with his damn mouth guard.
Sabol: this kid works hard all game. Ton of motivation. I think he has the skills but is young and I get the sense he’ll work hard round the clock to get there

Keep in mind the coach is learning too. Give him a break and give him some tips and tricks and we’ll see a great team in a few years.

It is a campus wide issue. I have given up and have a hot spot that I bring when I am on campus for meetings. If you think Alumni Arena is bad for Wifi try being inside of teh stadium, even worse.
I think it’s improved this year. Last year on wifi in the arena it would kick me out whenever my phone went to sleep. This year it’s keeping me logged in.

Is anyone else shocked at how poor roster construction was this year? There’s a laughable lack of depth on this team (although it doesn’t help that Graham is ineligible. Hopefully Halcovage can workout the kinks next recruiting cycle in the off-season and hopefully he doesn’t lose the faith of the players this year and they transfer out
I got the sense coach had no intention playing today’s game to win. He purposefully kept his highest scorer from the last game out almost the entire first half. He’s experimenting with the team, getting to know them for conference play. Watch for a completely different approach to Wednesday’s game too.

New coach and a very young team, this ranking is not surprising, better than barttorvik's perception. FWIW, Boals first year at Ohio, preseason Kenpom was 223 and final Kenpom was 167. Ball St last year, preseason 246 and final of 160.
I know the rankings are very hard for a team with a lot of new faces.
I also think the parts of the country well outside the MAC region generally underrate our conference

How is his last name pronounced?

This is a lot of knowledge for someone who doesn't work for a university and in mid-major sports.
We should have hired him instead of CSA.

I'm sure the department will do a great job reviewing their own shortcomings.
They will hire CSA to do it.

A laptop and phone plan might not be enough anymore?
No, but only because we can’t guarantee wifi in the arena.

A lot. You pay for them to offer you candidates. McCollum was their top choice for us, and he only came out here to play nice and pump up his own stock. Calhoun did the same thing after he didn't want to deal with NIL issues like he did at YSU.
They didn't need a search firm for Cohen or Washington.
The point of them is to recommend qualified candidates who want to take a major job and match to the right openings.
CSA has failed at this twice now.
Guess we won’t be a reference for them

So in that case even if GHIII continues to be terrible we’re stuck with him for the 2 remaining years + the first year of the new AD
