  1. What evidence have you seen in the last month that backs up that theory?
  2. Best 10 minutes of the season, super 2nd half. Great win. Matched up well with Ohio. It helps having a coach who is intense, tough, and knows what to do.
  3. My statement gives the blowout win to the 00 team.
  4. The 00 team led UNC. This team was down to Robert's Wesleyan until like 4 minutes left in the game. Sy is way better than anyone on the 00 team (as much as I loved Lou Campbell). Adams and Foster is a wash, same with Jo and Alexeev. Vasiliev versus Sabol is a tough comparison, pretty tight probably, because a shooter is a nice thing to have in Sabol. The 00 team had 14 players. We currently suit up 10 (and likely down to 9 pending the ankle injury from tonight). Now let's match up coaches. A high school/ecc coach versus GH3. Well that's a blowout. Game over.
  5. Well, we were more recently ranked than we have been a bottom 5% team in the ncaa. Now we are the latter.
  6. This is like watching Delaware park basketball. It's seriously unbelievable that this is a recently ranked d1 team. These Ohio guys are having a lot of fun out their at our expense. We used to do that. Ohio opens up 2nd half with the weak side alley too. Oh how I miss having a coach that would run that play...every game.
  7. Why did they have to show that? Probably the worst feeling I've ever had leaving an arena, outside of being at the Malarchuk game.
  8. Unwatchable, sadly I will watch til the end, but it'll be miserable.
  9. Well, double 1 win, that equals 2. Last years team had more than 2 wins at this point. As bad as everyone made the last regime out to be (and they had their shortcomings), they were miles ahead of this crew. Sadly, we are saddled with what we've got, and right now that gives us a bottom 5% team in the country for the first time in 25 years. This upcoming schedule doesn't help either, @OH, home vs Kent...ugliness coming.
  10. Yet somehow that roster was at least .500. Now look at this current group, with the addition of Sy who is the best player of the bunch by far, and sitting on 1 win.
  11. I wouldn't bet on seeing any of them after this season. It will be interesting moving forward.
  12. Still waiting for the big "statement". I won't hold my breath.
  13. Watson is good. 1 can't beat 5 unfortunately. Impressive performance by her, very impressive.
  14. Pretty bad. No analysis beyond that. It's just plain bad.
  15. What walk ons? They only suit up 10 guys every game.
  16. I'm not quite sure what is wrong with shaking hands and meeting those who buy tickets to your games and donate to the program. If that wasn't happening, that would be a pretty big red flag in my opinion. In the end, the coaches are people and someone that most of the ticket holders/donors would want to meet and talk with.
  17. .500? Are you watching the same stuff that I am? They will be lucky to win 5 next year in total. This team will be worse next year, if that's possible. Losing Sy, a 1st team mac caliber guy is very big, with nothing in the pipeline.
  18. I don't need to compete for a MAC championship. At this point, I'd settle for being able to compete in a game and watch a game without raising my arms in disgust every possession on either side of the floor. And the answer is yes, if last years crew was here, they'd have been top 4 MAC this year. Maybe wouldn't have won (probably wouldn't have), but at least would've been a formidable opponent for teams most of the time, unlike the doormat we currently are.
  19. "Kinda crazy"? Is having a competent coach "crazy"? This team would be a million miles better under the old regime. Sorry, he wasn't Nate and never was going to be, but he was a solid coach. Now look at what we have. Why don't we give him 5 more years while we're at it? I mean, this year we can't count because "these aren't his guys" or "he lost an entire team". Next year's excuse will be "these guys are young and growing into the system". The following year will be "we need more money and support". By then, maybe we'll have 10 total wins under this regime, but I'd wager against it, unless they schedule 15 games with Roberts Wesleyan. This is so sad to watch the absolute disaster that this has become. Watching long time fans and supporters walking out with 10 minutes to go last night, shaking their heads, one after another. You could've heard a pin drop pretty much the entire 2nd half. The only time there is noise is when a t-shirt is being tossed into the crowd. I made it to 0:00, but my head was in my hands. As I walked past the Ball State fans (all 20 of them who made the trip) I overhears one of them say "we were louder than all of their fans" to which I casually replied "you see the product we have, right?". One season ticket holder, Courtside, even mentioned casually that he's likely not renewing next year. This is not good whatsoever, with absolutely zero light at the end if the tunnel, only deeper darkness.
  20. Last 2 home games were 1 basket spreads. UB has lost both of those games by nearly 50 total points. I'd love to know how often that's ever happened before. What a far cry from the days when people bitched about only winning by 8 at home because it hurt our net rank. What a far cry from leaving a game after the conclusion and saying I enjoyed my past 2 hours. I honestly think it will be worse next year, and this is the worst product here since pre-2000. Sadly, I still feel that this team has enough skilled players to actually win some games. They are not a 1 win roster. But the one in charge is.
  21. In the end, there's nowhere to go but up from where Mo took this program. As long as he doesn't do to the football team what is currently happening with men's basketball, it is a big time win. There's a lot of work to do with this roster, starting at the QB spot, so hopefully he can bring one (or more) quality guys in immediately! There is no reason why UB can't be at or near the top of the MAC year in and year out, so if we aim for that, hopefully we can at least get to the point of being competent again.
  22. Can't be worse than what we've had the past 3 years.
