Vermont would love a home/home deal with Buffalo. They could open their new arena with Buffalo and it would be huge for them. "Hell yea, Vermont is coming to town!!! Might have to move this one to New Era!!!" -80,000 Buffalo fans.
SGBull
Just now, Jeseph said: "Hell yea, Vermont is coming to town!!! Might have to move this one to New Era!!!" -80,000 Buffalo fans. Exactly. Pretty much any program that will be willing to come to play at Alumni is not going to have true drawing power.

Their worst season in the last 5 years is a 20 win season, they have averaged 26 wins a year. Yes, that is a big deal. Basketball fans know that they are a competitive team. And people who don't know college basketball well, won't know anything different that the current schedule. Of course, you could act too good for a team like Vermont but they have been a mid-major peer for the last five years. It is the type of team that should be scheduled. These are the KenPom rankings for the last five years. 2019 2018 2017 2016 2015 UB 22 67 122 138 58 Vermont 80 76 63 151 123

Vermont is a pillar in a weak conference. I am revising an earlier post. Vermont, while a better opponent than what has been offered in the past, is not up to the standards of what UB should be scheduling. Just looking at who they have played, let alone beaten, makes it clear that Vermont won’t push the envelope much.
