rma Posted November 30, 2019 Share Posted November 30, 2019 Over the past year or so I've noticed WGRZ more often than not uses the UB press release or the AP News summary for basketball and football games. What's up with that? All of the other local news stations and Buffalo News is usually on site for games. Worth noting that Jenna Harner (WIVB) is exceptional in her coverage of UB football, and both men's and women's basketball. I'm sure the dedicated coverage is in part due to UB athletics partnership with WIVB, but her coverage is top notch. Hope she covers these teams for a while. It's a stark contrast to a certain Buffalo personality that either only covers the Bulls when they are in a big game (and then acts like an expert on the team) or is only there to pile on the criticism when things go wrong.
