We have a couple more years for Bo to show off what he's got. Bo did an outstanding job this year, no doubt, but I'm more excited to see him play!

Do you guys think he'll get drafted? I'm still worried about his size...even though he's the 13th best RB in the nation.

I don't see it happening. Bo just does not have the dimensions that  NFL scouts look for. 5'8" is a real hard sell unless youve got sprinter like speed..

Keep an eye on Jackolski of Stony Brook, who's about the same height but not as built. He's ran as low as 4.3 in the 40. He won't likely make the NFL combine but shoud make the NYC regional combine they are doing this year. BO, according to draftscout, was as low as 4.4-ish. Potts was that fast in HS, so with his height Potts would be the more likely NFLer. BO's great hands and durability alone should land him in a camp, though.

Starks had..
*Niedermier, the 4th-year starter who was 2nd-team All-MAC (and 1st or 2nd by some football publications).
*Norell, the 4th-year starter who was invited to try-out with the Bengals and has made UFL/indoor football rosters
*A Soph. in Bittner who had started the year before and was skilled for his age, and a Jr in West who, despite character issues, was a solid Tackle.
And, Starks ran with often-used FB's in Sharon and Rolle in Gill's offense

With BO's line, Os was fairly comparable to West at T, as was Whinery to Lauzze at C (both were 1st-year starters at the position). But our other underclassmen, while showing promise, weren't comparable to Norell/Niedermier/Bittner of '08. And Knox/Jean were mostly in on short-yardage plays.

That's not to diminish Starks, at all. His speed, moves, YPC, hands, etc, led to him being an All-American candidate, All-MAC, and on the Doak Walker list. Those accolades alone trump his season over BO's. But, BO's Soph year beign named 1st-team All-MAC was certainly inpressive when you consider the pieces around him. He excelled in running, receiving, and pass blocking despite the inexperienced blockers (and the less-potent passing game) around him.

Well, according to this site's mock college fantasy draft, Bo is the 2nd best fantasy pick in the nation:

http://cffl.com/articleviewer.php?articleid=553

This may seem a little high for a running back out of the MAC, but consider that Oliver had 8-20 point fantasy games, five of which were over 30 points and two over forty.  Oliver also had 8-100 yard rushing games, one of which was on the road at Pittsburgh, who had the 23rd best rushing defense in America in 2011.  Oliver also added 38 receptions for over 350 yards.  Playing in the MAC also helps Oliver.  The MAC had the most 100 yard rushing games, and also gave up the most.  Buffalo has very little on offense outside of Oliver.  Expect a possible 400-carry season

Is this guy aware the FBS single-season record is 450 carries, and that we're still a spread offense? He'd have to get at least 33 carries/game, which he reached only 3 times last season.

His purely fantasy-based analyis makes it look like we will suck next year offensively. Wait, will we suck in real points, or fantasy ones? I'm not sure.

http://cffl.com/articleviewer.php?articleid=538

This guy from DC, who doesn't even know Bo will not be a Sr, isn't aware of Potts and his potential impact. About him being the best player on the field many days last spring. Or that Neutz's fantasy numbers are truncated due to injury. Or that we will either have a dual-threat QB who will likely run as much as Chazz did or a young QB with an arm who will sling it with a solid understanding of this offense. Or that we return Clarke, who scored 28 points in only 3 games. Bo's not the only guy who will get us on the scoreboard this season.

If Potts has not made it on to the field yet. I do not see him making any large contributions.  Quinn will run with the Bo as far as he can.  I also know that the passing game will struggle for the first couple of games so that means Bo Left, Bo Right, and Bo up the middle or try a swing pass.   Expect to see Bo get as many carries this year as he did last season and possibly more.

Secondly, I had no idea that college football even had Fantasy Football.  Can you image that draft?

I'm trying to get those guys to allow conference filters so that you can have just MAC fantasy football ;)

I would get on that if a Fantasy Football MAC only season was open!

He just hasn't been eligible. Check him out in a few weeks during practice. Last spring he got tons of touches and was running with the 1st team many times: speed to spare, solid height, the size to go inside and handled goal-line just fine, very good hands out of the backfield. It won't be like the BO vs Gill situation; Potts is just too explosive to not put somewhere in offensive formations. To me, he looked like Naaman physically, but with speed and cuts similar to what we saw from BO last season.
