Guess not. A raise of $100K base salary going to UConn. But, it's a good challenge with many issues I'm sure he can't wait to take on.

I think he was looking for other opportunities.  Wasn't it reported a while back that he got permission to interview at another school?

He was always looking.

They gave him the title of VP sometime around when Tripathi ascended to Presidency.  I can only assume that this came with a handsome side-salary.
