Nope just a process of deduction. ND, BYU, FSU, Joe's have to host 2 of the 8 'visitors' before they move on the Brooklyn. As of now only 3 'campus site' games are unannounced, 1 at Joes' and 2 at FSU, to fit in WIU, UB, South Alabama. Joe's hosts Yale on Nov 12th and an unknown team the 9th, but we host Princeton on the 10th.

It's unlikely we would open in Philly on the 9th then return to Buffalo for our home opener the 10th. It's more plausble that we play Princeton then fly to FSU for a game the 12th.

Ooh that is juicy. I'm trying to remember offhand how many of FSUs defensive stars graduated, er, are no longer eligible.

Keep dreaming ctbullsfan.  I am a nyc metro area guy myself, but buffalo doesn't seem to have any interest in playing gamres down here. I guess you can count the Princeton game as one, but I think they should try to schedule one every year. I took a look at a handful of schools basketball schedules down in this area, but no luc. (Which makes me always wonder why ub is always one if the last to have their schedules complete). But from looking through schedules, no hofstra, stonybrook, st John's, Wagner, Manhattan, Columbia, LIU, Fordham.

That's still only 11 OOC games. I know that we only had 11 last season, but that an extremely low amount. I wouldn't count out another game or two. Hopefully one in the NYC area, and one at home (there are only three OOC home games so far).

I count Princeton, and one way or another I have gotten to a game down here for the past 3 years at least. Granted most were bracket-busters and/or tournament games. I've been to Iona, St. Peters, Army, Quinnipiac, Iona again, and Princeton. I'm hoping to keep the streak alive. If nothing else I get two football games with UConn and UMass.

UB does want to play in the New York City metro area.  However, if hey come down to the city they want the school they play to come up to Buffalo.  It is very difficult to get the new York City area school to go to Buffalo.  Unless they are taking a  money game they can play their entire non-conference schedule in the area.  If you have a limited budget do you want to take a 45 minute van ride or be forced to fly (or sit on a bus for 15+ hours round trip and pay for hotels?

I know this wouldn't work with the MAAC teams, but what of working with the others of the big four to make a NYC team's trip more worth it?

It would require either the MAAC schools playing conference games early or UB working in non-conference games during the MAC season.  My guess is that when St. Peter's found out they were hosting UB in the Bracket buster, their first reaction was, "Oh no, two trips to Buffalo in the same year."  None of the schools would want that.

But it's not as if those schools never, ever leave the metro area to play. Iona visited Denver, Marshall, Richmond, UVM and William & Mary in five consecutive games last year.

And those weren't really the types of opponents they'd make exceptions for if they were looking for resume builders or pay days.

MSG New York Classic Double Header.  UB vs a NY metro MAAC school, Canisius or Niagara vs 'Cuse.  Get Army into the mix as well.

Doesn't really solve any of the issues presented here, but the thought popped into my head while I was reading about the Wash. St. Cougar Hardwood Classic.
