Missed a bit but from what I gathered:

*They want to establish the line-up firmly within week 3, to move on to prep for UGA.
*D keeps hitting hard, lots of energy in the young defenders
*Clarke still in competition with Grassman for Punter
*Dixon on pace to be the 3rd receiver
*Alozie and Johnson standing out as T-Fr who could contribute for at least ST
*As he has in practices, Potts will be part of the run, pass, blocking schemes, and ST.

I'll be posting some player interviews in a little bit. I talked with 7 players including Oliver, Means, Dixon and more. Make sure to look out for those later in the day.

Speaking of Uga, I checked and we are 37 point dogs as of this point.

I'm glad they are considering using both QB's. The dual-QB system has worked for quite a few MAC teams in the last 3 seasons:

In the event that the coaching staff does not make a clear-cut decision between Zordich and Licata, Quinn hasn't ruled out the possibility of a two-quarterback system. "It's been in discussion. What you're trying to do as a football coach is get your best players out there at all times, so I think you have to look at all of those options."

And a new story on Carlson.

I definitely wouldn't be surprised if Quinn uses both quarterbacks early in the year, especially if neither stands out above the other.

However, I believe once you get to the middle of the year, you need to choose one guy to stick with. There's no point splitting reps after the halfway point when you could be developing one man to take over complete control for next season.

I agree I feel like the true starter will definitely emerge during gametime

I'm not a fan of a two QB system.  Each guy has his own tone, cadence, tendencies and it makes it harder on the rest of the team to adjust back and forth.  The qb has to learn to be in and out of rythme, yet stay sharp.  Yes I know that other teams have done it.  However, everything being equal, pick a QB and run with him until he takes you to the top, or loses your confidence.

If you were going to go with a two quarterback system, last year would have been a better year; then you'd a least have a starting QB this year with a fair number of fairly recent reps......

I hope coach just makes up his mind and goes with it..........

A 2-QB system last year wouldn't have been a big factor since Chaz and Zordich were so similar in style: mobile QB's with more of a short-to-intermediate passing game (with Chaz more fond of passing to to RB's and Zordich, more to TE's). Licata is an intermediate-to-deep pocket-passer who doesn't stop eyeing the field, tuck it, and run until every outlet is exhausted. He's still developing his pocket presence (gets downed in the backfield more than Zordich) but once he learns when to trust tight windows or just throw it away Defenses will be wary of his arm. Zordich is better at those times we run snaps from under-center at this point, and using the bootleg to move the the pocket. Licata is a natural shotgun QB who showed in the spring and again this fall he can thrive in 2-minute-drill situations, rat-tat-tat passing when starting with a lot of territory to go for a score.

A two QB system never works.  Stick with one and give him the time, experience, and chemistry needed to progress.
