Sucks to lose a close one. But when you shoot that abysmal from 3, 4-22, you might actually look at it in a good way. Teams dont shoot that poor every night.

So we pretty much have our team heading into MAC play. A lot of down time in Dec but I think this team has played better in the 2nd half of the OOC. Losing Oldham really hurts. Its going to come down to Skeetes growth as to how far we can go in the MAC.

The thought was always that the OOC (especially this season) was to get ready for the conference season.  It starts soon and we'll see where we are in a hurry.

I think we are looking at a six or seven win conference season.  6 - 10 or 7 - 9 where we win most of our home games (except against the best teams) and maybe sneak in a road win against a bad team.  I don't think we are looking at 3 - 13.

We will probably make some games tight on the road (within 5 points with 5 minutes left), but not win those.  I can see one or two blow-out losses on the road, however, where shots don't fall and the schools that know us well (like the other MAC schools) scheme us out of what we need to do to be successful (and make us do the things we don't like to do).

That was McCreas third double-double of the season? That's it? He should be averaging that a night.

Completely agree with this.  UB's going to be a middling MAC team IMO, but it's so hard to win on the road in the MAC, we won't lose much or by large margins at home.  I can't see them taking road wins this year, however, unless we run into some really bad squads (NIU of the past few years, for example).

Seriously?  There's like 4 guys in D-I that average that a season, often less.

When the shooters aren't shooting well, and all you need is a collapsing zone D to stop UB's lone threat, it's easy to prevent McCrea from scoring at will. He took over early against Tulsa, and then Tulsa switched its defensive approach and let UB shoot outside shots while sending everybody to stop McCrea.

This is liking watching the football season all over again. We're just way too one-dimensional.

It is hard to imagine D1 basketball players that cannot shoot straight.  Appears a little to much recruiting on athletic ability verse basketball skill by Reggie over the past 3 years.

D1 players?  Have you seen the NAB recently?  The Nets were 2-20 from the field in the third quarter the other night.

Let me guess: you became a UB Basketball fan some time after 2004?
