Adam Redden really shined at the Kensington Lions game last night, which ended in a 7-0 win for the South team in a defensive battle on a rain soaked field. He was a captian of the South team and provided the winning score off an 86 yard int return: http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/article84504.ece

North's Pat McMahon (Sweet Home) threw into the South team's secondary, where Redden was on the other end of the reception, juking threw North tackles and running behind blocks before finally making it to the end zone.

"I think touchdown every time I touch the ball," said Redden, who will be playing at the University at Buffalo in the fall. "I was supposed to score for the offense, but defense wins championships. I just read the quarterback's eyes, caught it and ran."

South's QB Justin Juda (decent prospect going JUCO in AZ) got Offensive MVP, but he thought someone else deserved it:

"I was very surprised I got [Offensive] MVP," Juda said. "To be honest, I just kept looking for Redden [at WR]. He's a great athlete, and I knew he was going to come through eventually.

i wouldnt say he really shined, he dropped a couple of balls that he should have caught, but it was a nice return for a touchdown on the interception

After seeing the replay last night on TWCS I agree. They did look his way often but he dropped a few. No matter, I believe he's going to be a DB after all.

As Lovie Smith says he has no problem with his quarterbacks throwing into coverage, because if DB could catch balls on a regular basis they would be receivers.  Sounds like he a a born DB.
