Yeah, I’m pretty pissed off about that honestly. I support wrestling quite a bit and things have been on the upturn and the recruiting classes continue to get better. ADMA screwed the pooch on this a number of ways. I spoke with one of the wrestlers and also one of the former assistant coaches about this and bottom line is ADMA didn’t like Coach Stutzmans approach to fighting for his guys and their health. As I assume you all know, he really only cares about football, there is no grey area there. I am really happy with the Lembo hiring and I think he is a great fit. However, no UB athlete should be made to feel like this or be subject to these conditions. I firmly believe the administration is 95% in the wrong here. The reason I’m holding back 5% is because nothing is black and white. This is a huge embarrassment and one more obstacle for the next coach to have to overcome.

I know it's way early but I expect a +3 game improvement in conference play and competing for conference title again. I would suspect the OC schedule to be much more challenging then last years, honestly I hope its brutal to prep team for conference play. MAC wins are all that matter to me and sweeping Ball State

We are returning just 2 of our top 7 players according to Evan Miya’s Bayesian Player Performance rating, and they played limited minutes last year. Granted this is not a perfect metric, and the freshman can take a step forward but right now it’s looking extremely rough for next year. Who is going to score points next year? It seems all GH3 has recruited so far is guys who will be decent role players. By the way, Fulcher was rated as the 3rd worst player in the country by this metric, is a turnover machine and shot 19% from 3 as a guard and he’s our returning leading scorer. Ouch

I wonder how many assists he would average in Canadian college basketball though

I guess it depends how you define "matter". If they pull two rabbits out of a hat that are better than any players that they've recruited to date then maybe they can approach Whitesell's worst season with 15 wins. The realistic "matters" that we're splitting hairs about here is 12th in the MAC vs. 11th in the MAC. That doesn't matter to me, shouldn't matter to Alnutt or whoever replaces him, and definitely won't matter to future recruits

They haven't recruited a single Chatman-level player to date so assuming they go 2/2 is bold. For those who didn't enjoy 27 shots per game from Chatman/Adams, prepare for 27 shots per game from Noah Batchelor and Shawn Fulcher

Settling to me implies they aren't trying, and I don't see evidence that there isn't enough effort. I guess we define settling a little differently. The question will end up being, was it the right effort. If Dunn is not successful, ultimately Halcovage will be accountable.
