  1. Today
  2. He was insane in this game, I didn't think he had this type of game in him. He was taking pretty much anyone off the dribble I've enjoyed having a rooting interest in a random big 12 program this season
  3. Sticks with the foreign theme of this recruiting class, great Britain and Canadian Also looks like another under the radar recruit, hopefully four year kind of player
  4. There's several leaders within P5 programs that think some of these issues need to be addressed as well. The biggest problem is that the NCAA is powerless. They tried to force 2nd time transfers to sit out a year but that was struck down in court. I don't think the majority of the P5 schools care about the money aspect but I do believe there's some anger about the unlimited transfers and players attempting to use NIL against in ways that are detrimental to their own schools.
  5. I’ve always thought that was his trajectory but honestly Bama has deep pockets and he is a genius at the college level. I don’t know if night in and night out pros wanna play his style. He’s perfect where he’s at. The only logical move is to a true blue blood. Otherwise he can be the next Saban at Bama.
  6. I haven’t listened yet but I plan to. Without having listened, it’s only a matter of time before those giving money wisen up and realize that they aren’t getting enough in return for their investment. Now we don’t know what the players do off the court when they receive NIL deals (what obligations they have and fulfill) but I can’t imagine boosters being happy pumping millions into a program that doesn’t win. Therefore I can see the funders essentially saying to a player, you want this money…you need to stay at this school for X amount of years. And the only way you can leave is graduation, coaching change or pro entry. Essentially NIL deals will become contracts and you will have full fledge minor league ball.
  7. CuJo leading Iowa St with 21 pts as they trail Illinois by 6 with 4:00 to go. With Bama advancing it’d be pretty wild to have another former Bull make it to the Elite 8. Illinois not making it easy Update: Curtis finishes with 26 including 8/8 FT but didn’t get enough help from his teammates to win. Will be interesting to see if he starts next year as a senior (assuming he stays).
  8. Gonna be a NBA coach in a few years if he keeps this up.
  9. Unless the P5 teams think it’s a problem, it won’t change. If they do, it will change but it will be geared to benefit them the most
  10. Football and basketball sucked, get rid of the wrestling coach.
  11. I went in-depth regarding some of the unintended consequences of NIL and the transfer portal and why it's absolutely vital that both be regulated in the near future. I also discuss why that's easier said than done with the NCAA being essentially powerless to do anything at the current moment. Let me know your thoughts!
  12. Here's a video I made with an in-depth breakdown of the consequences of NIL and the transfer portal and why they need to be addressed by the NCAA.
  13. I do not see any. He retweeted a bunch for his teammates. Lots of P5 offers, especially the kid that ended up at UConn.
  14. Appears to be unranked by all recruiting services. Can someone share other offers that he has?
  15. From the videos on his twitter he puts up decent numbers on a stacked team. I believe Long Island Lutheran was ranked as the second best team in prep basketball this season. He is one of the starters. Two of his teammates are top 100 in the country
  16. Looks like he played on the UK U18 team, 5.9 ppg, 5.9 rpg. He also played at Long Island Lutheran, they were 2023 Champions, couldn't find much by way of stats. One of his former teammates plays for UConn (Jayden Ross - Freshman). Comes from a solid, winning program so that's nice. International experience should be a plus.
  17. Pulling in recruits on the down low lol. What’s the buzz on him?
  18. From the UK but looks to have played in Long Island this past year I think?
  19. by way of Great Britain and national powerhouse Long Island Lutheran 6’8”
  20. Another kid from the UK. 6'7" PF, averaged 5.9ppg, 5.9rpg, 0.9 apg, 0.9 spg, 0.4bpg
  21. I would be happy with that signing.
  22. Yesterday
  23. 20 ppg, shot nearly 40% from 3 and 4.3 assists per game. https://www.bentleyfalcons.com/sports/mbkb/2023-24/players/zachlaputd13c
  24. If the players stay for 4 years, they'll be in the minority of most players in the ncaa of recent history. Most players are at 2-3 by the time their time is up. I would love to know the statistic in D1 basketball of those players who exhausted their eligibility this season. What % were at only 1 school, versus 2, 3+? I'd wager that the "1 school" is less than 20% and "3+" is equal or more than the "1". If that is the case, it's an utter joke of a system.
  25. Don't disagree, but they have to be the right upperclassmen. They cannot be selfish me-first players, they need to buy in to whatever the offensive and defensive gameplan/vision is so they can actually help develop the young guys. That's what I'm hoping for from Noah and maybe a couple other guys.
