  1. Today
  2. With the current bones of the roster, hopefully it can attract a guy ready for one last ride.
  3. Looks like he has a pretty nice release. Hopefully he will be productive for us in a number of ways.
  4. Must have an experienced player who’s proven for this last spot. Grad transfer would make the most sense.
  5. This must be all his 3-point shots made last year (12) (including repeats):
  6. I do feel they will be a better team, despite not having players with as much individual talent as a few of the departed players. It is for that very reason, it is essential that the coaching staff instills team play and willingness to share the ball. It also imperative that they bring defensive intensity game in and game out.
  7. I mean were they living under a rock? Also football leads the way, so hopefully it’s a commitment to NIL across all sports.
  8. This announcement has been a long time coming. Heard they originally had issues convincing boosters that NIL was necessary but that they now understand the importance after seeing what's taken place the last few years at UB and across college basketball.
  9. Yesterday
  10. Wish him well, but DePaul doesn’t exactly seem like a step up from Davidson. Went 3-29 last year (0-20 Big East) and haven’t made the NCAA tournament since 2003-04. Assume NIL $$ was a factor. Nice player, too bad he couldn’t have been a Bull all 4 years (or 5) and be more than just a footnote in UB MBB history. With 3 teams in 4 years, sadly he won’t leave much of a legacy behind at any of those schools.
  11. Expect an announcement tomorrow on NIL from UB.
  12. No longer MAC, per se, but saw this come thru. I had heard him linked to Wisconsin, but maybe this is a good fit for his final season.
  13. That would be ideal. I like the 20-22 minute range for 7-8 or 9 guys versus 38-40 minutes from guys that aren't ready to be "the man".
  14. A player that allows the staff to move one of sabol or boldin to the bench and let's all the freshman and sophomores to develop more naturally Although if the staff feels confident one of the sophomores or freshmen are ready to really take on more responsibility then a PG that you can red shirt wouldn't be a bad idea
  15. I like your optimism and tend to agree with your assessment. A go-to scorer that is ready to go and will make those around him better. We will see if we can get a piece like that.
  16. That kind of player would be a solid pick up as well Might be nice to add a freshman point guard as well They have a lot of possibilities with the last scholarship I'm more worried about offense just because it's tougher to be good on offense than it is to be good defensively Defensively you will be fine as long as you put in the effort (and have some semblance of size)
  17. With the commitment from Mighty our roster looks as follows: Guards: Dunn, Fulcher, Sabol, Boldin, Akot Wings: Wilson, Mcveigh, Michaels, Batchelor, Jackson Bigs: Mighty, Oboh That gives us the following class breakdown: Freshman (4): Michaels Oboh Jackson Akot Sophmores (4): Sabol Boldin Wilson Mcveigh Juniors (2): Fulcher Batchelor Seniors (2) Dunn Mighty That leaves us 1 scholarship left. Hard to predict today with 1 spot left to fill but here is my guess at starters for next season as of now: PG: Dunn SG: Sabol SF: Boldin PF: Batchelor Center: Mighty I would like to see staff fill the last roster spot with a grad transfer who can start immediately and provide some veteran leadership and some scoring ability especially off the dribble. I really like the direction this team is headed and I am looking forward to next season. I think this team is much improved from last year and I think this team will be filled with the type of players this coaching staff covets and we will see a clear identity to this team next year. You heard it here first, their identity will be the ability to shoot the open shot, their effort on the defensive end and their willingness to share the ball. After last years team this will be a much welcome. This team is going to surprise some people, especially with their ability to shoot and in my opinion they will be scrappy on the defensive end. Lets hope the staff can bring in one more solid piece to build on what they have started. Go Bulls!
  18. I may be misguided - if we are going for Villanova model (48% of FGA from 3), then I think you go for someone with size who can shoot the 3. Too bad we didn't have some NIL bucks to get Skogman back here! Add that to Sabol, Boldin and Batchelor, and my vote for most improved Wilson and I think offensively this team will be improved. The concern I have is they have to improve defensively as well.
  19. That is 'mighty' good news! Sorry couldn't help myself.
  20. So one scholarship left, it would be fantastic if they can get someone that has shown they can score/bucket getter Teams coming together nicely. I like the make up. Just seem to be missing a scorer
  21. Nice pickup. I think he's clearly the best recruit of the GH3 era. Clear D1 size/athleticism at a position of need. Didn't get a ton of run at BC but they were a top 75 team with the frontcourt being their strength, so he may have just been buried. Hopefully the staff finds another similar caliber transfer with the last scholarship
  22. For sure, and don't forget about D2/D3 players.
  23. Just mind boggling to me there are 1200+ still hanging out there, not to mention JUCOs and HS available. With Duke losing 7 guys already, it's complete chaos.
  24. They don't have to be committed, just in the portal by May 1st. But with 1200+ ( 3+ available transfers per D1 team) not committed, I suspect some will end up in JUCO or dropping down a level.
