  2. Anyone want to venture on to the conspiracy side and think they want to get rid of wrestling altogether? Either to save money or replace it with another sport, bringing baseball or men’s soccer back?
  3. Yesterday
  4. Mighty would be a nice pickup in my opinion. Hopefully we could land him, I think he’s just the type of big we’re looking for.
  5. Would be our first pickup in a while to have actually been ranked somewhere. 126 at On3 for 2022. 7'3 wingspan. This seems like the type of transfer that would actually move the needle a bit. He's the type of big we were missing on the roster last year. https://www.on3.com/db/armani-mighty-147807/
  6. Good name, easy NIL possibilities with Mighty Taco To add, he was offered a scholarship from Vermont when he was coming out of highschool, likely from current UB assistant coach tibbs
  7. Another player from Canada! Didn't get much playing time in two years at BC. BC just picked up Chad Venning from Bona.
  8. Armani Mighty - 6'10" C from Boston College. Has a visit to Towson and the Buffalo on Monday
  9. He had offers from UT, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Illinois-Chicago, Texas-San Antonio, and Wyoming How many of our players had other D1 offers much less 2 ACC offers?
  10. Last week
  11. one scholarship left if they choose to use it.
  12. Well if he's an all league player next year, how many on here will continue to defend this 3 win leader? This guy can play. Plain and simple. So could Sy. Those guys were/are good. They were not put in a position to be successful this past season due to things that were out of their control. They were playing on a team that was losing to Robert's Wesleyan until a couple minutes left in the game. It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever witnessed as a UB fan, alumnus, former athlete and reasonably knowledgeable person when it comes to sports. It was indefensible if you actually watched the 40 minutes of that game live.
  13. Yeah I'm guessing the players that fill out the last two scholarships will be off the radar signings as nearly every other one has been Wouldn't be opposed to going the Usport route again for a grad big if any are actually interested in playing in the states. I this is a really creative way to get older players without much NIL (also not sure if the actual skill level of Usport, but if you're 23 playing against 18 year olds you will probably be okay either way)
  14. I didnt fully explain. The list of players are somewhat in line with the player who heard from UB, Ndur, and the kind of player I am thinking they would like to get. Especially the ones who have shot the 3 with a little success. It does seem like with Ndur they were somewhat in line with replacing Jo's production. Sorry the chart was not too easy to make out. Having posted that list, I can almost guarantee who they pick up won't be on it. I was kind of interested in Batchelor's teammate, especially since I saw him working the 3s into his routine.
  15. Nice feature articles on Lopez and KLW. I did not know Lopez was still on the Argentina U19 national team and will practice with the national team this summer. In the articles both players are committed to improving their game. KLW has to improve on her 12-18ft shooting. Teams played off late in the season packing the lane with true post presence now that shot will be there. Lopez weakness was her 3pt% and being sped up, not establishing pace. I'm sure they will be fun to watch in the fall. https://www.ubspectrum.com/article/2024/04/kirsten-lewis-williams-ub-womens-basketball?ct=content_open&cv=cbox_featured https://www.ubspectrum.com/article/2024/04/i-felt-like-this-had-to-be-my-place-paula-lopez-on-her-first-year-as-a-bull
  16. "He can guard all five positions" That one made me laugh more tbh. He'll do well there for sure. Should benefit from not having to be the alpha, which he decidedly is not.
  17. That last line made me laugh more than it should have
  18. So roughly similar target as jo smith, interesting I've never been a big graph guy ha just the basic chart of numbers I can see (I can't see the chart to shared that well but appreciate it greatly) With the last two scholarships I'd love to see at least one upper class big, and the more I think about it an upper class guard Wouldn't mind having the ability to slot sabol/boldin/Wilson/McVeigh into a more proper position on the team and let them develop more naturally
  19. That's a big pick up for Toledo He will do very well there in a system that fits his strengths
  20. Yeah I wasn't sure about that. The tweet is from the same day that the Dunn signing was announced, but UB could've have reached out to him a month before that for all we know.
  21. I was thinking the staff was going to go for size with two remaining scholarships. I wouldn't be surprised if UB is no longer in the mix.
  22. One thing that won't change for Adams with this transfer - he won't be on a MAC championship team! 😁
  23. What the 2 time MAC Coach of the year had to say about Adams: "'I have a tremendous amount of respect for Isaiah's talent level and competitiveness after seeing him play against us for the last two years in conference play,' Kowalczyk said. 'I told our players in our scouting reports that he was a first-team All-MAC caliber player. Isaiah is an extremely versatile player on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court. He can guard all five positions, score in the low post and knock down shots from the perimeter.'" What ubfan.com had to say about Adams: "I'd like him a lot more if he was an international freshman with no other D1 offers."
  24. The coach of the team that has won the MAC regular season the last 4 years seems to agree with me that Adams is a good MAC player and was not the issue with this year's team. I'm not Adams' uncle and Kowalcyzk is definitely not Adams' uncle, so I'll be interested to see how this can be spun.
  25. For sure. I imagine he'll do much better there with a better supporting cast, in a proper role as a shooting wing, and in a non-hopeless situation.
