Why does it matter what they were ranked? They produced on the field. Should matter a lot more than recruiting rankings.

Lance had many back-to-back last rated recruiting classes. I expect better here now. That and non blown MAC Championship games

I am no fan of Alnut, but I give him an A+ on this hire. The search was conducted efficiently, quickly (just what was required given LL’s late departure) and hopefully time will bare this out. I suspect those in the portal will return given the quality of the hire. I see Licata, Mack, JP and many other great UB alums are all in on this hire which should help with keeping players in the fold. Go Bulls!

Spot on with both points (although only time will tell on each). Also hope that he's better in game than LL...there was a lot left to be desired in many instances! It's quite possible that we won this trade. Again, only time will tell.

I honestly think that "right the ship" is not the right wording. I don't think it's listing that badly to the port or starboard, that it needs to be righted. We were expecting big things for this fall, and I don't feel as though we've lost anything yet that will change those expectations.

Not that I wouldn’t love Myers back, but I’m more concerned about the OLine right now. We know what we have in KVT but I have no clue how good the backup OLine is

Who was that Lance guy? I'm hopeful that 8 months from now we all are saying that. Again, I think this is a potentially great hire (nothing is ever a guarantee). I just hope that the buyout is strong and that we can get a few good MAC titles before he goes to greener pastures. Mediocre bowl wins are far less meaningful than conference titles, in my opinion. This school should be playing for the title in most years now that the football infrastructure has grown. They may not win them all, but they should be playing in 4 out of 5 years from this point forward (same goal should be for bball as well!).

If these players leave at the 1st sign of adversity are these really the players you want in the program?
