  1. Some upper echelon Euro league team should just scrap their roster and adopt this one because I swear as good as these guys are all on their own it will never be as good as they are together.

  2. Obviously the injury to Wes dampens the mood. But another stellar performance by this group. Contributions up and down the roster. This has been so much fun to watch.

  3. I know there has been a lot of speculation out there, but there are a few facts to consider. I posted this a while ago, but am too lazy to find it now. The gist was that the MAC had about $7M in football TV revenue, but the AAC had like $70M. It was an order of magnitude difference. And, of course, the top feeders had TV revenue in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Since I don't think we are losing anyone from the MAC, adding mediocre P5 teams, I don't think, will elevate the MAC. It will just diminish those mediocre P5 teams. The best strategy for UB, in my opinion, will be to get to the best conference they can. AAC or C-USA seems more reasonable, but if something crazy happens and they can go higher, I'd endorse that 100%. Yes...the football stadium is not close to what it needs to be. And the donor base isn't there currently. I am sure those in the various conferences know this. But do they have the vision of what UB athletics could become? Buffalo is a sports rich town, with a rabid and loyal fan base for the Bills and Sabres. That's attractive. Can UB create an athletic product that can tap into that fan base on a consistent basis? So far, they haven't, for a variety of reasons. But sports fans are already there and many, many, many people in the region have a degree from UB (or a family member with a degree from UB), since the school is so large. If I am an executive from another conference, UB has a lot to offer (overall) if you have a vision. Go Bulls!

  7. You act like any sport besides Football and Basketball matter. Every school in the country would get rid of all sports besides those 2 if they could. None have the ability to make money besides football and basketball.

  9. Hope Wes is able to heal up by Saturday. Even though we got the job done without him, I think Category 5 was probably the least threat team we have faced so far. I feel more comfortable with him in the lineup.

  13. I am going to have a hard time forgiving Hodgson for actively promoting Alabama to recruits while still employed by UB, but this TBT thing feels a bit like he's trying to mend that broken fence. I wouldn't be surprised if he was homesick after spending 2 years in a pandemic in Tuscaloosa...

  14. I think it speaks volumes for the man the he kept his core and has solid assistants that stick around. He does have the charm or the next 25 year old up and coming coach, so he gets dinged. Also, as said he’s following a coach that took the program to new heights. He would have had to go to the final 4 to satisfy some. he also seems to be able to gain the confidence of new recruits that are near the top of our highest ranked prospects ever. I think that they focus on in game strategy with the assistants this year and we will be a scary team. Go Bulls!

  15. Expectation: Mac championship, tournament appearance Goal: top 25 ranking, at large bid discussion The wording was of a 2 year extension, not necessarily a huge raise. He has the team positioned to be very good this year and has continued the recruiting moment. That is very deserving of an extension. Not to mention has schedule pretty good out of conference games these past 2 years (at least rumored so far this year) But this season is gigantic moving forward for JW
