I am with you on that, especially quitting mid-season. I don't know how your teammates couldn't view you as anything other that a quitter.

I agree with this. I just refuse to wish a team mate well if he quits on his team during a season. The competitor in me wants him collecting splinters.

Agreed, it has worked out for some, not for others. Disgruntled players wreak havoc on the locker room, better to be rid of them as soon as possible. If they find success, great. If they rid the pine at a P5 conference team, then so be it.

Not sure we get to be called "ahead of the curve" when we were more "part of the problem." If in the future the Conference membership includes more institutions sponsoring men’s soccer, this decision will be reexamined.”

I have to say, I don't feel this way about all players entering the portal. Just the ones that quit on their brothers/sisters after a season starts.

Seems like a guy that is good for 4-5 years and then his style grates on people. It would be nice if we could find basketball and football coaches that can live on $750k per year, be a program builder and truly love the school. Guys like Homer Drew at Valpo. I guess that’s why I still pull for Whitesell, I want him to be that guy. Bring in quality young guys, he seems to have a dedicated staff, our portal losses have been minimal. If we could get the X and O part along with consistent execution, that would be great. Be top 4 MAC program year in and year out.
