I don’t really understand this mindset, Mballa and Skogman were the first impact players we’ve lost since Shannon Evans? Maybe I’m forgetting someone but for all the (valid) Whitesell complaints creating an environment where our top players leave hasn’t really been an issue. Mballa made sense using a 5th year COVID eligibility to move from a rebuild to P5. Skogman was a little more confusing but this really hasn’t been much of an issue for us

Great first half so far. Team seemed more under control, dare I say slowing down the tempo has helped offensive execution.

Has somebody from UB given Akron step-by-step driving directions so that they can ensure they'll be here? BRJACR75's route is still free of snow. Thruway is open east of the 190. Google maps says it will take 6 hours. I know the commissioner is an Ohio U grad but somebody should be able to explain how lake effect snow works to him. A good amount of what came down overnight here in Amherst has already melted. And snow removal in the stadium should be easy since we can just push the snow onto the track.

I agree Drake s a challenging opponent. My comparison was based solely on review of several ranking sites. They have Drake ranked 57 and 77 as I mentioned. Toledo is 58 to 72 on those same sites. Of course these rankings are estimates, not absolutes, and Drake may be better than anyone we see in the MAC, but perhaps a good benchmark.
