I think the allure of coaching a top college program is not what it used to be. It’s changed since the NIL and more schools have money to pay coaches. The winning is not guaranteed anymore. Everyone is buying players these days and players can get paid sooner so development is not a priority. Cal saw he was getting exposed and not winning anymore so he bailed. He just took a 5 year deal to bridge him to retirement. 

Gonzaga of the East….would’ve been nice. Just needed New York’s Flagship to pay the coach.

I don’t know. I think I hate the Kent State coach more. It was funny seeing that little weasel going berserk and having a temper tantrum on the sideline when his player fouled by accident.

Just calling it as it is, buddy. Things don’t look promising.

There is a really good chance at 80% of the roster being new next season. The turnover of players will be real and again we will be looking at another historic losing season. Wishing for the best but the future does not look bright.

Those were the days when we could get a UConn or UNC to come to Alumni. Makes you think, will we ever get a big time program to come to Alumni again?

In reality, he’s trending more to get fired than to get promoted in my opinion. So people bringing him up for this role just doesn’t make any sense.

Time for a change. Start over for the whole athletics program.

Kind of don't blame him for leaving. Alabama assistant to the assistant coordinator job probably pays more than our head coaching position.

This is sad. Not that he’s leaving but that our starting QB announces he’s transferring in conference to a lesser team and crickets from the fan base. It’s like no one is paying attention or maybe nobody really cares. Again shows how far this program has gone down hill. 

CJ and Perkins are locks. Maybe find a way to honor Oates and Hurley too. 

Does anyone have the final list or highlights from the article from the Buffalo news? Sad how far this program has fallen that we don’t have a final list on this site or more in depth analysis. There is no excitement at all it seems over recruiting as in the past. No QB in this class but maybe a transfer? If you don’t have a QB, you can’t win. That’s the bottom line.

I think coaches should be given 3 years to prove themselves. If by year 3 you haven’t shown you can recruit/coach or showing an positive trend with wins increasing each year then change is needed. The AD should have 5 years to show results trending in a positive direction or conference championships from his own hires. Have we seen this? Do fans feel excited to watch Bball or football anymore?

This season will basically be a glorified scrimmage. Year 2 will be the year that we can be a bit more critical. That’s my take. 

With the regular season right around the corner, does anyone have an idea what our starting 5 and depth chart looks like? 

The thing is Mo is not really calling the plays. He has offensive and defensive coordinators that do the play calling. He just yells and Tiger pumps his arm when they make a good tackle. What really is he doing during the game?
