Oh it has been talked about on another thread.

His two season at UB were very similar. Shot worse this year. Had more assist this year. I think we just expected more from him and he didn’t live up to that. We expected a star. And he’s just a role player.

I am not doing anything. I’m merely saying that schools cannot drag the head coaching searching out for fear of missing out on transfers and risk of losing all their players to the portal. As far as our house goes, this is why I’ve not been as active commenting this year. Bc it’s all doom and gloom on the board. I am willing to give Halcovage a contract cycle to show he can build this thing. But yes his recruits have been underwhelming. Maybe not using all the scholarships available was by design? To a degree he’s been overwhelmed as a first time coach. He needs to get better. The program needs to be better. Simple said.

With the way the portal is now there no time to have a coaching search take longer than a week. You might miss out on transfers. And be left in a situation like we were a year ago.

If there are shooters everywhere why haven’t we had any since Oats? I’m speaking in general. Not referring to this kid. Just the general discussion of having shooters.

Never say no to shooter. Never. Hopefully he moves better laterally on defense than Sabol. But you never say no to shooter. Especially when we brick from 3 most games.

Made a few 3s this season, I wonder if, wherever he lands they will try to make him a big who steps out.

Is any of this really new though? With NIL it’s just more public. Boosters paying recruits is nothing new. If anything I think it will evolve to full on contractual agreements. Which might be a way to reign in the portal.

Desperately need a true PG. and for Fulcher to harness his abilities and play with his speed but under control.

I asked this question either in this thread or another…given the success guys who recently transferred out of UB have had, did they just need time to polish their skills or was it poor coaching that we couldn’t get the best out of them?
