  1. Interesting, between 5 and 6 there’s really no difference but if you want to make the sweet 16 you definitely don’t want a 7 seed. I think our game tonight will be the difference between a 7 or a 6 (or even a 5). If somehow we could pull off a 4, by those stats that’s a real jump.
  2. Basically a flight either way. But 5 seeds lose more often than 6 I think.
  3. With a losing record they’ll have to win their conference tournament.
  4. I doubt that’s representative of all of their few hundred fans. It’s probably just Reggie.
  5. Buffalo News is predicting a 5 seed with a MAC tournament win and a 7 seed with a loss. https://buffalonews.com/2019/03/08/no-19-ub-caps-great-regular-season-beats-bowling-green-84-73/
  6. I had a dream last night that UB played Gonzaga in the final four. Unfortunately we lost 151 to 150 in OT. Afterward the announcers were calling it the greatest game in the history of NCAA basketball. By the way, Harris hit a clutch 3 to send the game to OT.
  7. For every Butler there's a George Mason. We'll need to plan our after party carefully.
  8. It’ll be based on the NET so I agree, probably a 5 if we win out and maybe a 4 or a 6.
  9. Maybe in year’s past but with the NET rankings it may be a different story
  10. That would put us as a 5 seed. I don’t like 5 seeds given the history of 12 seed upsets. But if we do get a 5 seed the committee will almost surely put us against Arizona St as the 12, assuming they win their play in game.
  11. You mean if they win this but lose the rest of their games they’re still top seed in the MAC tourney?
  12. Often a local sports reporter will get a tip that a local AD is looking at x, then will be curious himself and do a story on him. I don’t think Maryland will part with their coach as they’re having moderate success. Wasn’t sure who else might be looking in that area. Could be a Virginia school.
  13. This was a really helpful answer. Who sets these rules? The NCAA?
  14. Is it challenging to get into a pre season tournament? What does it take to do that?
  15. Also, whenever I pick the 8 seed to win, the 9 always wins but when I pick the 9 to win, the 9 wins half the time.
  16. Don’t know but historically 9 wins more frequently than 8 against the spread. Without the spread it’s even but still not a good seed. https://www.businessinsider.com/number-8-seed-ncaa-tournament-2011-3
  17. Definitely don’t want an 8 seed, and 9 is only slightly better. Almost a guarantee of one win and out. Either a 10 seed or a 7 please. Probably don’t have to worry about it but wouldn’t want to be a 5 seed either.
  18. What is wrong with Harris? He used to be so good
