  1. Unless Goodman is full of it, he must have been interested. I guess Calhoun really impressed despite the lack of tournament bids. Imagine that would have been Tod's ace in the hole if Toledo had even gotten there once in his tenure, and as it stands can't blame either for being keen on getting out of their current situations for a league that just got 6 bids.
  2. Along with our old Miami foe Dae Dae Grant. My bet is he retires, mission accomplished at Duquesne just getting that program to the tourney once after 47 years away.
  3. All-Ohio semis, the MAC's wet dream. Used to be our job to crash that party. Definitely can't count on the directional Michigans to do it.
  4. Lots of turnover for sure, maybe not 80% (considering we only rostered 12 this year ) but with the current JR/SRs I'd be surprised to see any return besides Graham. Of the underclassmen, would be fairly surprised to see Sabol, Fulcher, Wilson, McVeigh, or Williamson hit the portal. So I'll take a slightly more optimistic guess of 50% turnover, leaving lots of room for experienced transfers to come in and support the young returnees. Go Bulls.
  5. Might be thinking of Saint Peter's on the Elite 8 part (similar facility limitations there I'm sure). FDU lost their next game after Purdue.
  6. 9 for 20, absolutely atrocious. Though this latest miss could give us an outside chance if we score off the inbounds.
  7. Sean Lewis left Kent for the OC job at Colorado last year, and already parlayed that into the HC job at San Diego State. But at least he made that decision right after the season ended. Thanks for nothing, Mo.
  8. Exactly, gotta take anything positive and run with it in a season like this.
  9. All-Name team candidate Darlinstone Dubar nearly outscores the entire UB team in the 1st half. We're gonna give up 100+ a lot this year aren't we?
  10. That's my worry as well. We'll manage a handful of wins but will almost certainly see some serious blowouts against top MAC teams and maybe even some of the mediocre ones. Never thought we'd sink so low that even making it to Cleveland would seem unattainable.
  11. Staying close to home? No. Choosing a D2 offer over a D1 offer? Yes. Don't see that too often but probably best for both parties.
  12. Lol 5 returning players...a few years ago would have been an utter disaster, now not so bad an outcome, especially after a coaching change.
  13. Figured Ceaser was gone with or without Whitesell. At this point, if any of C. Jones/Jack/Adams want to stay, great. Beyond that, I'll take the restart with the new coach's guys.
  14. New team record for points in a game! Smashing right through it too, before the under 4 timeout.
  15. Fun one to watch if you can overlook the lack of competition. Still gonna be tough to take away much from this other than hopefully some experience and confidence for guys who needed it, and no bad habits for the real games.
  16. Haha I was just about to say this. Maybe he finally did just now...
  17. Title game atmosphere! Tuesday won't quite match that, though I'd imagine most Daytonians in attendance still won't be on our side 😂 Bring it home fellas!!
  18. They also lost 3 other starters to the transfer portal including the legendary Treasure Hunt. Should be a solid path to playing time there.
  19. Vander Plas in the portal too. Would have been his 5th year, good recruiting or not that's still their clear top 3 from last year gone.
  20. Woof. Even more of a shame now about Whitesell's contract/buyout. If Skogman actually leaves, it really would be the perfect time to start over completely with a new coach.
  21. Saw this live after our game ended, what a shot! And good for him, getting to be a big part of one of last season's big tournament upsets at UNT and now starting and making game winners for his hometown school.
  22. Listed as ESPN3 now, usually those are on ESPN+ UCI has a lot of size to contend with - tallest starter is 6'9 but they have two 7 footers coming off the bench. We'll want to push the pace whenever possible. Their offense seems to run through Welp (pronounced "Velp" apparently)
  23. Far from perfect but we got one in the win column. Hope we take every opportunity to develop some semblance of a bench in the rest of our non-conference. Though no real gimme games outside of the D-2 matchups.
  24. Nice to see the 3's falling for us. Tied up!
