  1. Did not know much about this signee and then I saw yesterday's paper. He's got size, leadership and solid work-ethic. I will be following how well Bishop McDevitt does this season as he also quarterback's their offense.

So far, only Robert Morris and Liberty show up as espn+ broadcasts on the ubbulls website.   Regardless of the limited schedule, I just renewed (because of UB football on the 29th) and will watch Cicerone play soccer tomorrow.

In addition to this, my son had me re-up to watch the LLWS qualifiers earlier in August, I also for some strange reason enjoy watching the Cricket matches available on +

  3. #1 RB in Pennsylvania. That is accurate!

We saw him play in the PIAA playoffs at Liberty HS in Allentown and the St. Joes Prep team is operated like a college program. Not only do they play in the tough Philly Catholic League but also schedule one or two national opponents per season. They play in the 6A largest school classification and won 4 of the last 6 state championships. Burrell is the real deal. This is a great pickup for the Bulls.

WVU won again,  beating highly ranked texas tech. Does that even out the metrics on the toledo loss to niu???????

This is the post for tomorrow's cmu game, let's get a good crowd and get fired up for this game. Go Bulls!

I was watching the 2nd half with my son - pulling for the 'eers! Soley because it would make our win look a tad better, also I didnt recognize anyone on their team yesterday!!

Wow, he was replaced in less than two weeks.   http://www.ubbulls.com/sports/fball/2018-19/releases/20190108ohvr39

My inside knowledgeable friend likes the hire and says he's a really good coach - as I told  him how much I appreciated Coach Lew's approach to training the team, he told me that there were reports that some of the players got worn down/tired towards the end of the season - and in watching how we finished, I would have to also agree with that.

  6. I was very sad after hearing the news about Coach Lew - he is the sole reason for my donation to that stinking Jacob's Ladder! I loved his excitement on the sidelines, the clap to break down the team - we shouted him out at Temple and gave us a shout back. Speaking of Temple - I remember he was there quite early - ran the Art Museum steps pre-dawn, I wonder if he had a brief meeting scheduled with then Temple Coach - now GT coach Geoff Collins??

I will miss him, he brought energy and a brilliant social media presence and it looked like the players responded, not to mention the team fared well this season with regards to injury prevent and healing - Kudos go to the strength and conditioning staff as well as the Athletic Training staff.

  7. Trying to revisit this topic - I have also searched online for better gear - Nike, NewEra, the stuff the team wears and I have been unsuccessful. I concur that I too would order more from the UB Bulls Shop if they offered better stuff. Is there anything else out there or does anyone know of a way to order directly from the Alumni Arena shop that appears to have the quality gear we are looking for.

  8. Looking forward to tonight's game on the deuce - curious to know why we are still listed at -2 dogs??

I read how the Ohio pass defense is bottom half of the MAC and overall we are generally healthy after looking at our 2-Deep roster.

Any incite into the line would be helpful - only thing I can think of is the game is at night in Athens, OH and we are 1-9 at Pedan Stadium.

  9. the Three that CJ Buckets hit to tie it with under 15 seconds left. I was so satisfied with our second half performance and then, just then I thought...We Can Win this thing!

So hard to sleep after this win, just so excited to then see Scott Van Pelt have it as his 2nd or 3rd story to lead his show at Midnight.

It does not sound good for AJ to play and maybe not the rest of the season.

What does not sound good and from what foundation of information do you base the claim 'maybe not for the rest of the season'? Hamstrings heal - UB's sports med staff is strong, he is young. Ye of little faith...

  11. Brook - what about a win over a Power 6 school?

I know you guys saw that on the sideline of the Temple game - I inquired with my friend at Cincy and they are not touting the AAC as a Power 6 conference the way Temple is...SMH

On bull run somebody said AJ was sick. Huge play at the end though. Highlight reel for sure

I read somewhere yesterday after the game that AJ had lost a close friend of his to violence and played with a heavy heart. In the 2nd half I looked for him to see if he was hurt because he missed a few series in the 3rd quarter  and the offense sputtered and finally he was back out there with under 6:00 to go in the third. Great finish, the way my son and I cheered it reminded me of Detroit in 2008. Thrilled to be 2-0, looking forward to watching this team's progression at Rutgers in 2 weeks.
