Yeah and all of their top players transferred out and they are now back to mediocrity - Kids don't want to watch film in the showers!
NIL means more to kids yes - But facilities play a HUGE part in recruiting - NIL isn't enough when other schools also have NIL.Ron's job is to distract you from the fact that we'll see record crowds of 1,200 people inside UB's brand new Murchie Family Football Stadium before they ever spend another dime on basketball

UB still has exactly the same basketball facilities as they did 10 years ago - A new Locker room is needed/ Practice facility that's not shared with intramurals/ A film Room which UB does not have - UB is behind the majority of MAC schools in these categories!
The AD, head of the Alumni Association, and the school's top donor are all football guys. You can see how this is quickly becoming a problem.

Reggie Witherspoon as AD, Turner Battle as head coach, and let one of the Murchie kids run the Alumni Association
Would anyone object to that?

Great, showing 1 of the 4 areas of the arena.
UB has been bullshitting attendance figures for years, bud. It's not a new thing:

Are you stating this with certainty, or are you simply fabricating information?
You're absolutely right, it was a standing-room only crowd.
Just look at them all!

Idk how many there were to begin with but only losing 500 seems optimistic honestly
The lowest announced attendance at Alumni Arena this year was 1,361 for the Miami (OH) game on 1/9, and that includes tickets sold and not the turnstile count - so it's less than that

He shot better with the visor/mask on - not sure if he got contacts or something

Dropping football to FCS and putting the savings towards the basketball program was the way to go, but that ship has sailed - Alnutt's going to be a doormat for the donors and their terrible ideas for the next 20 years
Pooling money to get rid of Halcovage and letting Alnutt keep his job would be ridiculous - so of course that's what will happen

What does a coach's salary have to do with NIL? Schools do not pay NIL money.
Burke and Lembo are starting to cozy up to each other, and both have a history of demanding concessions/walking from jobs when they don't get their way. Lembo left Ball State when his budget wasn't what he thought it should be.

As for future players to be honored, you have to consider Watt and McCrea since they won MAC player of the year awards. Watt in his senior year was almost unstoppable at times at both ends of the court. CJ is a no brainer someday, probably Perkins as well. Maybe Idbihi. The bar might be too high for Mike Martinho, Calvin Cage, Will Regan.
Alumni Arena is the house that Modie Cox built.

Turner Battle to have number honored at 2/17 home game

The current students are getting nickel and dimed by the school and the administration treats them poorly. Students see the football stadium as a giant "fuck you" monument on a campus that's heavily isolated.
Of course the alumni who never had to worry about money are wondering why everybody doesn't have "school spirit".
One of UB's least self-aware employees was crying about it 46 years ago.
Guess who...
