I’m not sure she will end up at SU. I kinda hope if she leaves it will be a much better team.
I agree. I think the delay in committing to SU like Woolley and Wilson did means she was waiting for the tourney to end and evaluating all of her options. She quite literally may get offers from Final 4 teams, and I think even FLJ will want Fair to do what’s in her best interest.

Absolutely but in being successful that means we will win a MAC title or two. And stay relevant and a premiere mid major that’s attractive to coaches once she does leave. Also if she has success it puts pressure on the school to pony up money to invest in keeping coaches and upgrading facilities.
I’ll take ambitious, successful coaches using UB as a stepping stone if we are winning MAC titles over coaches that will go .500, get you nowhere and stick around. That’s being a mid-major in college basketball.

We have a bunch of backs, Ron is incredible as well. That’s what I’m guessing
After he became the feature back he ran for over 5 yards per carry exactly one time, and zero times in the last 5 games. I'm sure we can find a replacement that will be at least comparable with the volume of carries he was getting. He wasn't Jaret Patterson, RBs around his skill level are all over the place.

Skogman hasn’t actually left yet. Could you imagine playing for a coach who didn’t want what’s best for you, I can’t. I imagine most every coach is open about the portal… sure, put your name out there to see what happens. Coaches who don’t embrace this will push players away faster than what we currently see.
I’ll be shocked if Skogman returns because he’s 6’10”, almost a 40% three point shooter, and has decent mobility. There just aren’t many of those guys out there so he should get a lot of interest from better programs. Fact is, if not for his heart condition coming out of HS he would’ve had bigger options anyway.

Play to win 1 year. The next year will be a fully new roster. That's what the ncaa wants evidently. Development in house is gone. Redshirting for future gains must be gone too. Cuz they'll just leave, like Skogman.
Redshirting in basketball is tough. They either aren’t ready and don’t develop and then you don’t want them taking up a scholarship for 5 years or they do develop and then grad transfer somewhere else.

2022-2023 [Men's] Roster
in Buffalo Bulls Basketball

I would say CJ Massinburg was a big reason the Bulls made the tourney his freshman year in 2015-16. Averaged 11.3 and was the leading scorer in the MAC Championship game. There are diamonds in the rough out there to be had, albeit few and far in between.
