Jackson Paradis - freshman RB is now in the transfer portal. The RB room got full quick, can’t blame him.

Jason McCarthy - RS freshman LB is also in the portal. Doesn’t look like he saw the field at all. Not sure he was even on the 2022 roster.

Was kind of expecting Paradis, with all the injuries he did not get a look.

This is pretty much spot on.....for us diehards.....it really doesnt matter.....

BUT....it would be nice for them to at least address some of the creature comforts not only for us that are there every game, but also make the game day experience a little nicer for those that dont attend all the time.

Concessions are still lacking, heat in the bathrooms (I dont think they turned the heat on in the bathrooms for the Kent game, Im curious to see if its on today)), and of course the scoreboard.....

For any of out-of-towners....the scoreboard IS becoming a joke.  Example 1: they started putting trivia up on the scoreboard during breaks.....you literally cannot read the words, so its just a waste of pixels and time.  Example 2:  The go to "get the crowd involved" game that theyve been using since I started going on 2007, the 3 Hat shuffle/Find the football game, is to the point where the game starts and then about half way through the video freezes.  Example 3:  The few replays they may have, are so unclear and grainy that its just a waste to even look.

I get it, when I go once a year at best it is not a big deal but week in week out year in year out the lack of effort to improve the experience must get offensive

It wouldn’t even matter if you gave UB students that they don’t care. UB Bulls football should have moved there home games to the new Bills stadium in 2026 to have a chance at being a elite Power 5 program. To stay at UB North Campus for 2,000 UB students opening day then it goes down as the season gets colder isn’t worth it. The new Bills stadium will be state of the art that isn’t UB Stadium that will be 35 years old by then. I don’t think it’s worth renovating a track stadium and the state of New York has no interest. The Murchie Family can’t build UB a stadium too we should have moved to Orchard Park even though would be further for UB fans like myself in Amherst I would have voted yes. Because the lack of UB students support and the no real interest with New York State building UB a San Diego State Snap Dragon Stadium. If you did a poll outside of UB in the Buffalo area 90% would say UB Stadium is too far dated to renovate we need a new state of the art football stadium. We have everything else than look potential UB student athletes we play our games at UB Stadium. Oh can’t we stay in the UB Field house and locker room. What is up with that scoreboard? Is that from the Reagan administration or the Clinton administration? Whatever it is I can only see shadows with glare from the sunlight it looks like early Nintendo in my opinion. UB Horns Up! Go Bulls! Let’s Go Buffalo

You are never getting an elite P5 program to play in Western NY for an OOC game no matter the venue.
could the stadium be better, of course, maybe it is me but I would be just as likely to drive 7 hr to see UB play at the old Rotary field ( it is not there anymore right? But the point is the same) as I would UB stadium or whatever they call the Bills stadium these days. Maybe Vman or rma, who travel to a ton of stadiums are better able to comment but if there is a team you want to see does the venue matter that much? I agree a venue may get you to try a place for teams you do not care about  once but again and again?
the issue is not the stadium but the general lack of interest/culture and a stadium is not going to fix that for more that a few games, IMO.

UB wins, UB is in with:

W vs CMU, any Kent loss, any BG loss

W vs CMU, W vs Akron

UB loses, UB needs to outpace Ohio by 1 win.

If UB, Ohio, BG are tied in conference record, if Ohio won their final game (vs BG) they win the three way tiebreaker and go to Detroit. BG wins that game, then we go next down the tiebreakers and go with record against the 4th place division opponent.

I'll put together rooting interests later this week, but basically if we beat an opponent we want them to keep winning. We obviously want Ohio to lose (this is a general rule of thumb no matter what the scenario or sport is), but BG is tough because they're within striking distance but we hold the H2H tiebreaker. Regardless take care of business ourselves.

Or to quote Al Davis, "Just Win, Baby"

Bless you for figuring this out but as I was reading it, I was planning to quote Al Davis….no need I guess.

  5. If I remember correctly a very bad UMASS team beat us on the last game of the season to stop us from getting our 6th win a few years ago. Can’t take any game for granted.
Was planning on going as soon as the game was scheduled but a cousin decided to get married the same day in NC….. maybe next time.

that said, winning does have me considering the last game vs Kent St, weather permitting.

  6. Is it wrong to kind of want him to keep winning and he leaves, takes the whole staff and their best players?

the one point the Kansas fans may be right about, will WI or NE let him take his whole staff again? I could see that being a deal breaker for him. He will be getting a lot more money one way or another.

I won't debate much of your post, just because all of it has been said and done before. However all chair backs are terrible for college football. Student sections need to be benches at the very least.

Just curious why the love of bleachers for the students? Cramming in as many as possible is not really an issue for us.

  8. It is like three games in Cleveland for basketball, can things start to come together for MAC play? I am assuming the CC is not going are way so we will be 0-3. The MAC does not look great so if things come together and go 5-3 in the MAC and a win over UMASS, the HC game will be much easier to forgive.
again all I have seen is regression since last Sep so my hopes are not high.

I'm guilty of criticizing the quality of the Bulls' OOC schedule the past couple of years. This year looks great - possibly the best ever! Go Bulls!

How much of the issue was good teams did not want to play what should have been a very good UB team?

If Lance doesn't show improvement this year, Kansas probably hacks him because they are a nutty, unrealistic bunch. Their friends at Nebraska are unrealistic in the opposite direction. That won't happen here with Mo and I really like what he is building here. Hopefully he stays and hopefully our trajectory is strong.

It was the regression as the season went on that concerns me. Hopefully he got rid of the guys he wanted to and brought in HIS guys.
