Yeah I agree. The Ooozfest video was good stuff. He seems like a good fit here... the way he's starting out running the program kind of reminds me of the professionalism of Lance L. but Pete has a more outgoing personality.
UB Athletics needs to work WGR 550 to put Coach Lembo on weekly. He'd be a fun guest.

Welp. Only one weekend where the Bills and Bulls lineup (Oct 19 Homecoming.)

I meant you and I and whoever else are going? Easiest way for you might be by air. Reagan National to Bradley.

He's done a really good job. He retained most of the roster, which I think had really good, talented players that underperformed (mainly due to coaching in my opinion). He retained most of a really solid recruiting class, he worked what he had hard in the offseason and let them display their talents in the Spring Game and is now reshuffling the deck to fill the needs he and the staff saw via the portal, etc. Also, bringing back a guy like Dolac speaks volumes about the previous regime as well. I think it has been a great build and I am really exciting to see this team on the field.
We're going to UConn 9/28, right?

Seems odd, but maybe the UAlbany game will rotate out of the schedule.
Or Albany will be a MAC Conference game <ducks>

I know folks at UNH Athletics and the idea of a jump to FBS is not even being entertained. Their finances simply won't allow it.

UConn makes sense for football but they'll never bring all sports to the MAC.

So almost every good collective has paid positions. Almost all. We're expecting 4 volunteers with online store to fundraise
$200k for MBB
$100k for WBB
$500k for FB
By the way, these are all bottom line numbers for MAC championship. To compete vs MWC, Sun Belt. We need to be $2 million for FB and $1 million for MBB, $200k for WBB. The goal at minimum should be $800k but really needs to be near $3.2m annually.
I don't know what would be involved. Is just promoting the NIL enough to raise funds? Do you see a "sales guy or gal" calling on business?

I already gave to every sport and am HOF as well, my point was the NIL isn’t just basketball, it is everything, so if you don’t like the MBB coach to not give at all doesn’t make a lot of sense. Bitching about not having a collective then bitching about the collective 2 days later seems to me that some people just like to bitch. I’m not a Bills fan, but a lot of Bills fans are happier being miserable so that is the local fan base. Even when Oats was here it wasn’t like people were lining the streets in Bulls gear, they are still Bills and Sabers fans first and foremost. It’s only after Oats left people lament the glory days. I’m a Bulls fan, win lose or draw and will support them. If others only want to support in the good times, so be it!
You nailed it. 😅 It's the worst part about Buffalo. The commitment to negativity.

Does anyone think the people working for the collective are working for free? No one has said either way and it’s not on the faq.
Depends how much work is involved. I could see a few hours a week or month being donated if that's all it takes.

I will be signing up as well.

I'm not sure if this is good or bad for schools like UB. At least this proposed league holds 10 spots to regulate schools in and out.

I could be wrong but it's my opinion. When you play in a lower level conference, the talent level between teams is relatively the same. What decides whether you are a good team or a bad team is coaching. Game plan and execution wins games.

Another day-late, dollar-short performance. Can't knock the team for finishing the MAC season strong, but this was a winnable game they let slip. Oh well. Take more steps next year. It will be hard replacing El Husseini.

They will need to find some size next year.

Next Coach In: Pete Lembo
in Buffalo Bulls Football

I was thinking that he should be on the WGR morning show regularly just to get locals to think of UB Football as part of the local scene. Lembo has the charisma to draw folks in.
