Marquette has two wins against ranked teams so far this month. This game is key to resolving some uneasy feelings that I have about this team and their current ranking. A win would be phenomenal, historic. Possibly landing them in the top 10? Crazy to think.
81-76 Bulls.

Terry went to Penn State, and Kim to Houghton. Not surprising on either count.
The Jacobs family has donated over $50M to the University, Jeremy Sr is an alum.
None of the other billionaires in Upstate have a real connection to the school. Maybe Golisano, I saw him at a football game in '07.

They are the worst, also I don't know if it i just my stream, but when they were down by over 20 they stopped showing the score. They keep calling us U at B.
Nope, both of those things happened for me, too. Also gratuitous overuse of the under-the-basket angle, completely missing plays.

Well, yeah, there's not much to do in Olean.
Sit there sharpening your Ka-Bar, talking about the deer/girl/dog/Cummins Diesel that got away.

Is there a Beilein that is the Coach at Niagara County Community College as well? We ran into their team at a rest stop in Milan, Ohio, on the way to Detroit on Friday afternoon.
Appears so. Nephew of John, cousin of Patrick.

I wonder how CJ's knee is after Belfast - do we sit him this week??
Tough call. I would say let him rest, but I don't think we want to chance a loss to LeMoyne.
-
I know you're talking Student attendance, but the LeMoyne game might be well attended given UB's record and LeMoyne's ties to the region - both geographically and via basketball lineage. LeMoyne's coach is a WNY native and the son of Michigan coach John Beilein. They have a large extended family in WNY, most of whom have ties to local basketball.

Not to break up the Bonnie hate because I’m all for it...but going back to the original point of the thread I’m thinking maybeee 18 but prob 19 on Monday. Bummer Texas tech pulled it out in the end. Would’ve been helpful. As I type this though Houston is up on 18 Oregon 33-13 in the first half. Anything can happen but it’s been dominant thus far. Houston is 5-0 currently and if they win will likely be ranked but I’ll take it
Caught the last couple mins of this one, Houston heald on

What time are we looking to converge on the brewery?
Just picked up my tickets about an hour ago, I was in line behind Red.

Here's the deal. I've spoken with the people at Detroit Brewing. They're more than happy to have us come in, but would like some sort of number of people. Between BRJACR, V-Man and I, we have 7. How many more am I telling him. The sooner I hear back, the better.
I'm bringing 3-4

USF for the love of god. USFCA if you're precise.
-USF employee 2013-14.
Here's something that will likely make you cringe: Over the summer I ignorantly responded with "UCSF" to a trivia question asking for Bill Russell's alma mater. Got credit for it, doubling my team's score. I didn't realize there was a USF, and teammate was adamant that he attended university in San Francisco but unsure of the school.

When we play at the JAR in Akron. The Rowdies aren't the ones making the most noise. It is the public. That in my mind is the key.
Same thing with Kent and the MAC Center IIRC, though it's been a while.

Let's go U-B *clap clap clap-clap-clap* needs to come back IMO.
When I was in the front of the student section this was always the easiest/loudest cheer and has no learning curve for new fans.
Not sure how we did it back in the day, but I feel like we were chanting most of the game, every game.
In Cleveland this year I lost my voice after the semifinal.

I watched the replay when I got home from the bar. Pretty sure Williams was benched after that travel you mentioned. Segu was definitely excited over excited, rushed through an open 3 and had a travel or two. They'll come into their own. Someone pointed out that both were shooting in Alumni at 2:30am after they got back.
