The Defense was downright putrid. The roster should roll from that game. Brandon Williams #14 allowed 3 TDs on his own, the guy has been super bad.
Jackson looked terrible. He missed every throw and decided to try to make the NFL last night throwing deep every play. Brutal gameplan by Borland/LL.
The biggest worry is that NIU BEAT Ohio. That's a scary thought for the MACC.

Ohio is playing for their lives and an auto Bowl Game. UB knows they have BG in the back of their minds. Hopefully, we just end it tonight and set up a huge game against NIU.

Great stuff!
Wow.
Both of these were one season before I got there.
A) we stormed to just go to Cleveland?
B) Kenny Albert called this game? lol
C) We've won 3 out of 4 championships, a tourney win, and are now RANKED. Can we get this type of support again?

Wow that chart at the bottom is terrible.
Do you mean at forward?
Yeah, we are. It's not great.
2019 lineup - Johnson, Jordan, Graves, Williams, Rojas is your starting lineup
Segu, Grant, Allen, Fagan, Caldwell, Bertram (wouldn't be shocked to see him transfer to a lesser program, he reminds me of Stainbrook)
- Two open still.

Big time get. On paper I like the size and stature. Add him to the two JUCOs already committed and we have length coming in next season. The two transfers to provide senior leadership hopefully. Along with another year of Jordan and Graves, etc. And a blossoming Williams and Segu. Next year will be a “down year” comparative to the expectations of this season but future remains bright and the cupboard stocked.
Does this complete our recruiting for next season?
Nope.
Still 2 more scholarships. Rojas takes the 3rd of 5.

Kevin, We'll have beers at the North end. Past the fieldhouse, just toward the stadium from West Lake Village. There will be a bunch of us from UB Fan there.
Rats,
I was on the other side in the SE lot. I'll have to catch up during a BB game.

Kevin, you should meet us for a beer at the tailgate?
For sure!
I'll be there right after the BB game. Meet up with anyone for a beer at the Special Events lot - 6:15.

Things that I'm looking for in today's game are:
1. Offense and pace. Can we repeat the same scoring pace at around 85 points per game? UB finished 7th in country in scoring at 84.8 PPG. Let's see if that will carry over this year.
2. Hold teams in the low 70's or under 70 points per game. Can we improve defensively and hold teams under 70 points per game? UB finished last season allowing 76.2 PPG, 274th in the country. This is definitely an area that will need improvement.
3. Making the free throws. Buffalo last season was 241st in free throw % at 69.7%. This season, I'd like to see a step forward in this area. Be somewhere in the top 100 which is typically around 73-74% at least. These easy buckets have to be made.
4. Forwards. Being that UB is not very deep at the 4 or 5 spot, I'd like to see today if we get any significant forward contributions outside of Perkins. I'd like to see McRae, Fagan, or Bertram step up. It'll be interesting at the season progresses, which one of those 3 rises to the occasion.
5. Who replaces Wes Clark? Wes Clark was obviously a huge reason for UB's success in the MAC Championship game and in the win against Arizona. But, who fills that role? Caruthers? Jordan? It'll be interesting to see what adjustments are made moving on from a leader like Clark.
6. Rondo Segu and Jeenathan Williams. I think I can speak for everyone, I cannot wait to see these 2 guys play. I am curious to see how many minutes each guy gets and to see how they both contribute further in the season.Well said. Really good synopsis of this season/game.
as for number 5. Jordan/Dontay/Segu is quite the PG trio to have behind Clark.
Let's not forget Graves, who is pretty much a starter now.
This is as deep as any team we've seen at UB. Maybe in the MAC ever?

I know we have WVU coming up but I’ve never heard of a season opener referred to as a trap game before. Just not a thing.
It is.
This team is super solid and returning everyone including everyone from their normal 8 man rotation. It isn't a normal game 1 opponent. They'll win the NEC.
UB is trying to get in a really good OOC for the RPI.
You have WVU in 3 days constituting it as the rare week 1 trap.

Anyone going to the last game of the year?
The Bulls can put themselves in commanding position with a win.
I figured this team could use all the support so I'll be doing both games.
Come say hi! i'll be in the Special Events Lot.
-
I'll see everyone there. If you are attending come say hi.
SF can score with the best of them, I just think they have a really bad defense. We have to stay on them and make them push with us.Trying to avoid a trap game against them.
-
I love how coach mentions Dontay's shooting as being disappointed but he shot 5-6 lol.
-
I also hate to say it, but there will be a transfer again.
Where do you think the Bulls should use these last 3-4 scholarships? What players do you have in mind?
Only three will be open for 2020 too, so this is a big set of players.
-
Also booted Thorpe, their third best player.
That could be the worst team I've seen, with only one player (Bradley) with any top of D1 playing experience.
Too bad we don't get them twice.
-
Does anyone know the extent of his ankle injury?
-
Who is ready? After that slaughter of Daemen (top D2) team, I'm ready to go. This team is legit 11 deep and they all can play based on certain matchups.
Anyone going? Score predictions?
-
Who is going to the BB/FB doubleheader next Tuesday? I'll be there.
-
I am hoping James Rojas signs with us. He's going to be a top 30 JuCo player 6-7 and 220 could fit in nicely.

Loving all the guard and wing talent pouring in.
The only thing that concerns me is our lack of depth at the 4 and 5 position after McRae and Perkins are gone after this year. Nonetheless, I have faith in Oats and the rest of the coaches to bring in great talent for the future.I’ve been told by the coaching staff to watch for Fagan. He’s honestly projected to do big things. Might we see a step up for Brock too? Eapically since the MAC lost some of its forward talent.

I have been told the staff backed off on recruiting him after his official visit
Any reason why? We just did get a commit from one of the JUCO guys.

I could survive without the ESPN+ football content but I think now that basketball is back I have to bite the bullet.
I have insider so it comes with that since they merged. It’s honesty like $30 a year when you can and you get the mag and featured articles.
I've spent worse money. There were days I spent $10 to watch a bad UB team play on one of those bad streaming platforms before it became mainstream.

Starting 2-0 gets UB inside the top 20.
That's all Kevin wants, lol.

Rojas could totally be on the scene. I think he's a top 50 JUCO player this year. He plays in the vaunted Indy CC division (Last Chance U).
I can't find a lot on Cadwell.

Yeah I don't think they air in Rochester at all, so I have to wait for it to be available somewhere.
