So if KJ stayed and at next year's camp Lance said Charlie and Nunn were better and were gonna start over KJ, would you be talking about how we invested 4 years in him and how he deserves to start? No.

Nothing is guaranteed, you just want to win, that's fine, we all do, but don't drag down athletes who are just living their lives.

Like your argument is we gave him four years of training, he owes us the 5th year.

KJ would probably counter that he gave you four years of his life, battling to put this team in a better position. Now, he's taking the 5th year transfer he earned by graduating to do something for himself. He owes us nothing.

And you keep saying transfers makes us look JV. I think crying over individual players makes us look JV. You think we dont have another QB or WR on the roster...Look at Bama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State...they have the top QBs in the nation and back them up with even better QBs... If you're not stocking your cupboard like that (at whatever level you are at) then YOU ARE JV and that is what it is. This year we'll know if we're JV or not.

You might have forgotten Oklahoma...you know  the guys with back to back to back to back Big XII Championships; three CFP games in the last four years; back to back Heismans...

    QB U....

  2. Caliber of competition seems to have had an adverse affect on his play (perhaps Temple excluded...albeit, UB caught Temple at a good time).  The last impression is all too vivid in my mind, whether it be in Athens, OH, Detroit, MI or Mobile, AL.

The game at BGSU was fun, but a bit of a "quality" outlier.

Do we even know if he gets invited to the combine?  Hopefully he does.  I think he'd do well there.

Not sure what to expect from him if he gets a combine invitation...he won't get shorter or thinner, but not sure his wheels will impress.  The world knows he can throw a long ball; it's just less clear which team will be there to receive it.

He better hope that Johnson catches for him on his Pro Day...

  4. If he goes pro, then lord bless 'im....he'll need it.

What P5 team would want him?  Seriously.  He will want to play and all the marquee programs have better options than betting on a "project".

I like Tyree, but sense he has been reading his own media/press clippings.  His decision making has been dreadful over the last four games or more.

He needs to stay put; work hard; and demonstrate better judgement.  Win or lose, if he does those things he will get drafted in 2020 imo.

V-man or anybody else - any experience with which border crossing would typically be better: Port Huron or Detroit-Windsor? Google Maps shows the same time to Detroit for both. Thinking Port Huron right now

Port Huron is less fuss...and the road down to Detroit isn't bad; we did it last weekend for shopping/game at BGSU.  Ironically, Dar and I will do Ambassador Bridge this time (we have a hotel booked in Windsor for postgame).  Easy and short run north on I-75 to Ford Field.  Lots of construction around Detroit on I-75....shouldn't be an issue though.

  6. Missed the last game (2008).  Dar and I were in Kansas City for the Big XII Championship (and saw Sam Bradford and the Sooners beat the be-jumpin' out of Booger Daniel and the Mizzou Tigers).  We did get the bar tender at a sports bar just down the street from our hotel to turn the game on for us.  We cheered so loudly that by the end of the game, better than half the patrons there were cheering for UB!

This time we will see UB win a MAC Championship in person!

Nice. With Bowling Green on our schedule, I think we can book the trip to Detroit.

Having said that, I think we need to win the remaining games including the MAC championship and am the bowl game against a quality opponent if we want to finish the season in the top 25. That would be quite an accomplishment.

Agree!  UB will win the MAC East; I think they will match up well against NIU...(think WMU is toast).  Bowl game could be a lot of fun...would love the Frisco Bowl against Houston!

  8. Apparently I wasn't the only one...

So I am presuming that UB sold out a home game versus ODU in 2020, and will play at ODU a second time in 2023, to avoid paying ODU a penalty fee; then UB will have two payday games in 2020?   I know about economics...but it still sucks...an 0 and 2 with a C-USA team!  Will be hard not to have a three road game OOC in 2022 or 2023.  Bah!  Humbug!

  9. I have been working my friends for some time; a number of them have come to one or more UB games.  I actually have a friend who will be with me at the Miami (OH) game and he is quite pumped to see (an undefeated???) UB and some of our highly rated players (TJ, AJ, KH...etc.).  A few other friends who are NFL guys are starting to ask me about AJ and Tyree...

So, "yup", even in Canada amongst football guys!
