Fortunately, it's not that late in the offseason.  Still January.  Beats the hell out of April.

The male ref made a couple of terrible foul calls within the last minute or 2 that nearly cost us the game.  I believe one was on Lewis-Williams, one on Davis.  He's also the one that called the inbounds violation.

This is true, but I've heard that there is another defensive coach at Utah State that Dolac was impressed with and he plans on honoring that commitment.  We'll see if that holds up.

I didn't mind that, but there was nothing else going on around it.  We've been at other venues that also had ESPN on the big screen, but it was surrounded with food, drink, merch booths, activities for adults and kids...  

SGBull, you mention the "football game day experience".  Talk about regressing.  WTF was that Coca Cola thing that we got this year.  It was a joke.  I imagine the Stampede Square concerts of the past bunch of years were too expensive, but people partied and enjoyed themselves.

I like that GH3 went to a deeper bench.  I don't claim to know if that was out of need, or if it was to get a look at what players looked like in actual game situations.  To me, it seems like we tend toward playground ball on offense, rather than team ball.  We started to make up some ground late in the second half when we started to press.  By then it was too little, too late.  It's too early for me to draw any conclusions on the team at this point, but it's sure an ominous start to the season.  Hopefully things will gel before MAC play.

I agree, some do that.  Doesn't make it right.  

Rather than dropping down in divisions, wouldn't the proper response be to fix the issues.  If a teacher has a bunch of students failing tests, they don't make the test easier, they figure out a way to teach the students better so that they pass the tests.

Last night, the West bleachers had quite a number of students there.  If they were all in the East end where they're supposed to be, it would have been a decent looking student section.  Of course, then the West end would have been empty.

I guarantee that the equipment manager has the proper gear there for them.  While some others may be unprepared, I am 100% confident in saying that she is not one of them.
