  1. Do I want us to move to the AAC? Yes. Do I think we will get invited YET? No. Basketball has been on a great run but let’s see what happens this year and in the next couple of years. The future looks bright and we build a solid base but we need to keep it rolling. Football is just nowhere there yet. At a minimum we need to be bowl eligible for a bunch more years. The one good season (with a pretty bad ending) isn’t going to cut it.

  2. Idk we lose soooo much talent next year. Feel good about our RBs and I like Lefevre but as a whole the team is going to be very different. I’m really hoping we can still be very competitive and be bowl eligible. There’s been lots of talk lately with basketballs success about dropping football. I don’t think it would ever happen and I personally would hate for that but I’m worried for next year. It would be beyond huge to have back to back successful football years. We’ve never had that and we’ve only ever had 3 bowl games ever (obviously not counting the one way back we refused to go to). For this school as a whole to keep growing we need football to go as well. I don’t want to only be a basketball school

    Maryland?

They program has so many issues.  It's a step up in prestige, but we're a better program at this moment.

I’m not sure I agree with that. I’d say Maryland is still a big step ahead of us. We had one good season now that ended on a loss in the conference championship and bowl game. Next year looks like it could be back to the basement. I think Maryland is way ahead of that.

Sad to see him go but wish him luck

  4. Nevada is at halftime right now but assuming they win I see us moving up to 18 just jumping Marquette. It would be unfair for VT to drop far after a loss at the team right above them. If it was me I would have us, k-state, and Nevada all shift up 1 then 15 Kansas, 14 VT and 13 FSU. Not sure where that puts Purdue though

I had a dream last night that UB played Gonzaga in the final four. Unfortunately we lost 151 to 150 in OT. Afterward the announcers were calling it the greatest game in the history of NCAA basketball. By the way, Harris hit a clutch 3 to send the game to OT.

I actually also had a dream about UB basketball last night except I was sitting in alumni for the BG game tonight and there was still 9 minutes to tip off and then I woke up. I like your dream better

  6. I don’t think that was as bad of a game as everyone is saying. Thought the refs were great the first half and were absolutely atrocious in the 2nd and really helped Ohio get back into it. We need to limit turnovers but aside from some late lucky 3s from Ohio this isn’t a close score.

Hope jordan is aright but he was up and coaching the team at the end there. Think he’s going to be ok.

Freshman had a rough night but that’s ok they’re learning. It’s going to happen. We still won.

This was a road game at the convo against a really resurging Ohio team. There’s no shame in a win here and we are MAC REGULAR SEASON CHAMPS AGAIN.

But most of all HARRISSSSS. Clutch 3 and some nice play at the end there. 20 pts, he had assists, a bunch of rebounds and overall played pretty nicely. Rushed a 3 and had a couple iffy plays in the first half but he really seemed to start to get his feel back and started smirking. We needed him tonight. This is what good teams do. Caruthers had a terrible game, freshmen were lrettt bad but we had everyone else to carry us. LETS GO

I was thinking the time crunch of doing major structural work between March and October would be expensive.. SMU and Houston had to play a season somewhere else... I don't know where we could play that would make sense...obviously we could go Keybank, but goodbye atmosphere.

Also, Alumni has a lot of I assume load bearing columns throughout and a lot of concrete and brick...any move some walls to create space renovations would be costly.

SMU spent 40 million on a reno, Houston 60 million. For 60 million we could go brand new building and practice courts...

So I guess my question is if costs are the same, would you prefer to trick out Alumni (and spend a season playing at keybank) or do a fairwell season at alumni and move into a new building somewhere nearby in the Athletics area.

Alumni is def a lot of brick and concrete... I guess when you put it that way I’d go for new facility.
