So just as I was thinking the selection committee might actually give UB a fair shake this year because they earned it I read all these posts. I think UB could win out and still be a 7 or 8 so they have to play a 1 or 2 and possibly (likely) stopping a run. I believe it's so corrupt they actually do things like this to prevent a mid major run as best they can.
And a 6 seed would have to play a 3 seed. Best cast scenario is be a 5 seed and have to play a 4 seed like we did last year. No matter what the situation it’s going to be a rough path. I want us to get the highest seed possible but first of all we need to win the first round which everyone seems to forget. None of these teams are bad. IMO it doesn’t matter much really, we will be up against a giant. Let’s just hope we do what we know this team can do and take em down

I have a good feeling this one is going to be closer than what everyone thinks. We go into those slumps mid-game and Ohio is doing much better as of late. As much as I’d love a blowout I don’t really care as long as we win. Can’t overlook this one to BG, the MAC tourney and beyond. ITS A TRAP

We had over 7k for Obama in '13, and more for the NIU game 15 or whatever years ago, so I think we're good with maximum capacity. My problem is we can stuff more people in where there are empty seats.
That NIU game was pre-renovation when there was a higher capacity in AA. When Obama came there were people sitting on the court but also the south seats were all folded up. I wonder if those even out

I shake my head when I go to a D1 volleyball there and the ball gets caught in the ceiling rafters. Maybe Canisius can appeal to the Pegula’s for a donation to build something other than a Middle School-class gym.
Orrrrr UB can appeal to the Pegulas to fix up a million things in need on campus haha

But now we are tied with 6%

As much as I want to give the current students a hard time for not getting rowdy I can see how it’s not always easy when you don’t face much adversity. We’ve been pretty spoiled at home thus far and I hope it continues. I know in my day (I feel old) we yelled our heads off all game but at the same time we were commonly the underdog trying to either edge out a win or slay a giant. We no longer get home games against giants and have been lucky enough to go most home games with little to adversity against teams we are expected to beat. When we have needed crowd support we’ve gotten it but we’ve been lucky enough to not really need it. The tourney will be a grind and I expect us as a fan base to do our part.
I mean it may not be the kind of giant you’re talking about but BG coming to AA last game of the regular season is freakin huge. I hope the general population of students understands the gravity of it. Hopefully we can take care of a resurging Ohio team and it won’t matter for MAC tourney implications but it would still be huge

Ole miss and Oklahoma state both choke at the end letting ranked teams win but the big one was penn state destroying Maryland.

I still have faith in Harris getting back to form. I think we need to let him keep shooting and he shouldn’t be afraid to shoot. So many times now he has an open 3 and it feels like he second guesses it due to his struggles. I say let it rip and eventually they’ll start falling again

Seriously, we had it nice with a 3 game home stand finally. Gotta remember how to win in a hostile gym. Miami will be no pushover

Woooo ubfan is back!

I agree it’s way too early and foolish but man would it be huge for this team to go to a bowl game in back to back years. We need to win our first bowl game so badly..

Saw something last night about how they’re finding pieces of the roof on the lake and across the way that kept getting blown. That’s some intense wind

I really love those replica blue color shirts. Really great idea for whoever thought of it.
just need to continue to play well and do what we know we can do. Close out this homestand and clean a few things up before heading on the road for a pair

I like the white. I just wish there was some blue but at least it’s one of the school colors 🤷♂️. Looks cool though. I was also just reading up on renovations that they’re doing to south campus that should be really nice. Seems like the school as a whole is really improving. South campus definitely needed a facelift but you have some really beautiful buildings to work around. Now we have this going on and the field house is almost done. Next step to me would be to really improve north campus. A lot of the dark brick boring dated buildings just make it look so unwelcoming.
Its true there’s always parking further away. I still think it could be smart to make a parking garage though.

There must be some limit to the occupancy but with the track I wonder if we can make it to 7000 against BG.

Is Oats still 4th?
Yea just looked. Hurley is still ahead with 10% Oats with 6% and the OSU coach behind with 4%. I already voted on two devices today haha

Can agree he never shows any emotion haha. He rarely even cracks a smile so it almost makes you wonder if he's happy to be here but I have a feeling it's just who he is. Even after a vicious dunk he makes no facial expressions and just runs back down the field lol its crazy. His style of play def shows his effort and drive though. He's always really working hard

Really sad. From what it sounds like, Mr. Jimenez got into an accident and then got out of his car on the highway afterwards which is extremely dangerous for this reason. Def sounds accidental.

Agree. Will have to continue our defensive mindset and rebound the ball. Again how is the game going to be officiated?? Did anyone notice the Bona game last night. It was a tough, physical game with only 21 combined fouls called??? Looking forward to another great, loud and supportive crowd. Go Bulls!!!!
I think this is really important. Kent loves to play bully ball and just hacks away at anyone inside the paint. It can be frustrating when they just let it go in Kent's arena but should be interesting what kind of game the refs call. You can assume Perkins is going to get mauled on the inside. Let's see if he can hold on to the damn ball and not let his emotions get the better of him.

Not to malign another non P5 team in the top 25, but looking at resumes is there any justification for Nevada to be above us?
Buffalo is higher in the NET, higher in the RPI, has 3 Q1 wins to Nevada’s zero, has a much better SOS (76 to 139), slightly worse average NET win (155 to 158), and much better average NET loss (89 to 153). Yeah UB has one more loss but has played 4 more Q1 games.
There’s room for both teams in the top 25, but if I were ranking the two based on blind resumes it would feel silly to pick Nevada’s over Buffalo.
The complaining is admittedly premature but unless Nevada losses again I don’t expect them to end up below us when the rankings come out next Monday.
I totally agree and I have seen this elsewhere that people are saying Nevada is overrated. No great wins and their first loss was an atrocious one. Losing at SDSU isn't as bad. I think they have a great team but the only reason they are so high is their record. Now with another loss you'd think they would drop a good amount.

In the article they say they are worried about it standing out too much being white. My god white would look so much better as opposed to the brick prison. The campus needs some color. What I don't get is why they don't make it BLUE and WHITE. God forbid you make it school colors and try and drum up some school spirit. Looking at the campus you'd never know what our school colors are. It seems like it would be such an easy decision...I never get it.
Color aside though, the design of the building does look nice. Would def help the appearance of north campus just a little and the contents sound pretty cool too.

I mean I like alumni. I think it’s pretty nice and we just put in a slew of upgrades fairly recently. I would think replacing would cost a ton more money
