No cutting football.  But cut coaches salaries and only play the minimum home games.  Send the team on the road for $$.  Stop paying for the hope of bowl eligibility.  When it happens, it happens.  We will have more fun without the risk of buyers remorse.

The same is true of Gonzaga, Butler, and Buffalo.

Elite coaches are held back by these teams.  They also have safe jobs and fans are more forgiving.

I just found this funny.  I can easily name 4 MAC coaches who will be fired this year.  That number may be as high as 7.  Seems many in the conference want to get rid of their “Reggie”.  Oats may have done more for the conference then anyone person in decades.

They really needed a video for the COTY post?  I dont know, maybe spend the time making the POTY video better? Longer?

Water polo.  We already have a pool.  I’m not too sure but I hear the uniforms and equipment are minimal.

Akron scares me the most for the simple reason that watching them play is boring.  I have to work late wed night and if they put me to sleep, I’ll be pissed. 

How did EMU get 3 players on the all MAC list?  They suck.  I get JT4 because of the rebounds, but nobody else.  There is 20 spots. 12 teams.  So getting 2 players named is above average.  And Kent got 1... hmm...

I disagree.  As long as the top 4 are in the championship game, both are in.  And there may be a third or forth depending on how other leagues and bubble teams play out.  Conference was damn impressive this year.

Anyone with nothing but extreme appreciation and respect for Reggie is just someone with zero knowledge of the state of the program before his arrival.  People post, without Hurley, there is no Oats.  Well, without Reggie, Hurley wouldn’t of even picked up the phone with the caller ID reading UB.  Is he the greatest coach? No.  But he came from the JUCO ranks and successfully put out a dumpster fire.  And brought UB from the basement to the top quarter of the MAC, just never past the finish line.

The AAC would be an obvious step up in basketball.  But what if we join and a year or two UCONN, Memphis, Houston, or some combination leave?  Then your playing ECU, Tulane and Tulsa and wishing you were just back in the MAC?  And would the MAC keep our wrestling?  Would we have to start backup baseball?  Grass isn’t always greener...

This game is big.  Need at least one more win for at large bid.

I’m confident the Buffalo contingency will be enough where Akron nor Kent will have an away game feel at all.

So this field house.  I have been to a Siena game at the Times Union Center on a Friday night, then attended a Minor League Hockey game on a Saturday afternoon.  Why can’t it house a few practice courts in the winter until a rec center is built?  Are we planning on just turning the heat/lights off after January?  Can the football team even practice off season?  These are not schools/organizations with huge budgets and they make it work.

I think 1mill would be the extent of our abilities.  Especially if we are seeing another +400k spread throughout the rest of the staff.  Hate to say it but are students willing to start paying for tickets?  Could be necessary.

It is hard on the women.  But would you want 2 venues?  Can only play so many games in a day.
