If they keep winning, more and more people will show up.
You have to keep in mind, there is no college sports culture here, at all. This is Bills and Sabres country. UB has to keep winning and winning for people to show up and to build culture.
UB didn't start being remotely competitive at basketball until, what, 15 years ago? That's nothing. This is such a young program. It's just going to take time.I agree. If we stay competitive consistently for the next 15-20 years I think we will really start to see the benefits. When parents take their young children to games and they see constant winning out of the Bulls, they will develop a stronger tie to them and grow up rooting for UB and raise their future kids that way.

Hopefully our solid year will translate to some good recruits.

One of the best parts about being Top 25 is definitely the exposure. Now we are on all the “Scores” sections on websites without having to filter for MAC, any article summarizing the previous night’s games will mention us, and halftime shows on national broadcasts will mention us much more often.
That’s a lot of free advertising for future recruiting and possibly will increase the local/national fanbase.

It's also great how early in the year this happened. I was thinking it might happen towards the end of non-conference play if we upset a couple teams. Now that we are already ranked, we can really shoot up if we keep winning games.

What time are the polls released?

Yeah some good conferences and teams were excluded.
"Note: No teams from the American, Atlantic 10, ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Mountain West, Pac-12 or SEC were eligible. The same goes for Gonzaga and BYU out of the WCC."
My guess is they counted the P5 conferences as "Power" conferences. Then you have American, A10, Big East, and Mountain West as "Major" conferences. So the rest are counted as "Mid-Major "or "Small".

My close friends (who are also alumni) have started to watch and follow UB sports with the recent success of basketball and football as well as a little bit of encouragement from me.
Some of the NY Giants fans I know have taken note of Tyree and are looking at him as a potential Eli replacement.

You can get tickets for as low as $6 on SeatGeek. The assigned visitor section is 110-111ish from what I've seen online, but there will be Bulls fans in section 105.
Yikes, that's almost as bad as watching Rutgers play football
Awesome, thanks. We will be sitting in 108.

What is the best way to get tickets for this game? I am considering making the trip down but won't know until Thursday/Friday. Hoping to be in the UB section if I do make the trip down.

It is awesome that we are starting to gain interest from higher level prospects. 5 years ago it would be very unlikely that we would be on his list with all of those major conference schools.
Alumni Arena

I do not think that Alumni Arena renovation should be a priority right now. We should see an uptick in attendance long as the team keeps winning. Once we see a consistent increase, then we can look at that.
The main negatives I see are:
-It does feel a little like a high school gym
-When watching on TV you see the south side of the arena. This leads to a lot of the shots of the red areas in the picture below (if it attached to the post properly). This does not look good IMO.
-Concessions are not great
After having said this, I still believe it is a good game day experience and compares favorably to many other D1 arenas.
I think the football stadium should be a bigger priority because it does not compare favorably to other D1 stadiums. The biggest issue is the track which leads to horrible sight-lines and a quiet atmosphere.
