I can’t hate on it. It’s annoying but defenders can’t bite. He has all the fakes in the book. It’s how he got to the line a million times in our loss to them. Defenders gotta be smarter. Just stay in front and let him ball hog.

Skogman didn't bite, he was standing in the same spot and Ali put his shoulder into Skogman in a definitely unnatural shooting motion.

In my opinion (in honor of BSF) as someone who doesn't post during the games but reads it after the game, there are a lot of observations:

    1.  It is true -- you see the glass less than half full almost all the time (even when it is half full).  All games have ebbs and flows.  It is a known that the bench is weak and there will be ebbs when they are in -- and flat lines on the game flow, but the starters can't play 40 minutes.

    2.  There are some rose-colored glasses posters here during the game threads, that's for sure.  And they go out of their way to comment positively on certain aspects...perhaps they see the glass as 3/4 full (or more) when it is half full.

    3.  You are 100% right about the "Told Ya So" posts from some (typically one, but sometimes more than that) individuals.  That has been happening all season, though.  It's what they do.  With this 7 game win streak (that, I know, we all are happy about), that individual (those individuals) are out in full throat.    Once again, the "ignored users" option has been a great addition to this site.

    4.   There is a huge common ground that most posters have, but it seems that the disagreements (albeit small) are the ones that run the narrative.

    5.  At least there is alot of action during the game threads. That's a positive.  Perhaps it can be less combatitive, however.

    Go Bulls!

Agree on all points, but for #2 I think I see this more common the other way. We will be up 15 points and over half the comments will be negative so I always viewed those posters (myself included sometimes) as people who are just trying to bring some positivity to the board. It can be exhausting to constantly read negative stuff even when positive things are happening.

Here is a chart showing the distribution of kenpom rankings in MAC.  To illustrate how difficult it is to win - I have plotted where Toledo was ranked each year.   From 2013 - 2022, Toledo has been one of the top 3 teams six times (compared to our seven times).  There have been 8 MAC tournaments during that time and Toledo has yet to win one.  The fact that we won 4 in 5 years was pretty remarkable.

Wow there are a lot of really bad teams in the MAC this year.

Unless the NCAA changes the rules, players cannot redshirt a season that they've played in without a waiver. Mading has played in 7 games this year.

Wow I did not realize he played in that many. Only felt like 1 or 2. I know sometimes they will grant medical redshirts if that happens.

If this continues he has to go. But where do we go from here? From within again. Or an outside higher and risk losing what younger talent we have

Outside and take the risk, our younger talent isn't anything special to be honest.

These are two of the older teams teams in the country

Toledo has had 0 seniors play tonight, 4 juniors, 1 sophomore, and 4 freshmen according to ESPN. They are definitely not one of the older teams in the country.

Also looking at their roster the top four leading scorers are juniors and sophomores and they have no seniors on the team!!  Hope for a competitive game tonight. Go Bulls!!

Toledo is going to be very good next year

God forbid they had something to smile about.  I'd wager that was Segu's first ever alley oop (receiving end) in his college career.  It might be his only. He's like 6', 160lbs, plays his behind off always, on both ends. I'd let it go. Could we have done without the pull ups on the rim? Ok, that's a bit excess. In the end, who cares, they led from pole to pole and win by double digits, now 4 straight wins. Enjoy it guys (and gals).

I have watched a lot of basketball in my life and 99% of the time you don't do that if the other team isn't fouling and trying to extend the game. This is stuff you learn in youth league sports. Will it stop me from watching the team and cheering for them? Of course not, but it is all the small stuff like this that adds up and makes them unlikeable. Hopefully they show up in the MAC tournament when it truly matters and they are playing the best teams.

Edit: Just to add on to this. It is just a personal opinion not saying everyone should feel the same way I do, just saying I don't like the way they act.
