In the last six years he has finished 1st, 2nd, and 4th in the conference.  That will keep you around at Canisus.

He also has one (1) winning season in that time frame. I appreciate him for what he did at UB and I will root for him (personally, not CC) but he's on borrowed time as a head coach.

Sounds to me like that would be more lines on the football field.

Yep. Soccer deserves better than playing on a football field. Football deserves better than playing on a field with soccer lines.

Anywho, I'm ready to see this team start a new FCS winning streak this Saturday.

I agree we should add WKU and MTSU. Problem is last time we had that chance, some MAC Presidents reportedly voted no bc they felt like they’d have to further invest in their own programs to stay competitive.

MTSU didn't want to join. WKU would have accepted the invite but did not get one because the MAC wanted both or neither.

So it only the men that people care about playing the other SUNY Centers?  Unless I am in Detroit I will be at Stony Brook.

I like beating the inferior SUNY schools. I'm not so sure this team will do it considering we've had essentially three different teams and coaching staffs in the last three years.

  6. Interesting numbers. Median would probably be more interesting, since there's probably some big numbers thrown around at the top of each level. And there's a huge difference between promised vs paid.

And some bias in the data with "and more than 1000 student-athletes we’ve contracted with" since self reported numbers aren't going to be accurate.

The rumor was that Allen Greene was pushing too hard on it and the Strykers backed off. Soon after the soccer team got axed.

Probably had to figure out very fast if he needed to discontinue soccer or another sport like wrestling.

  8. Steven Stryker. His dad is Jon Stryker.

WMU's medical school is named after his great grandfather. I was wrong, it was actually Jon Stryker's sister who provided the $100 million gift to name the med school. But Jon has donated at least $5 million (combined) to WMU, a school he didn't attend.

There's also a $550 million anonymous donation to WMU that is rumored to be from the Stryker family.

I don’t know if this has been mentioned before, but WMU got a boat load of money from a very generous donor, with a nice chunk of it going to athletics.

One of WMU's (as a school) top donors has a son that played soccer for UB. He has a net worth of multiple billions.

    Frustrating.
