Just got an email from Athletics.  The Spring Game is April 27th.  That is what you get for working and trying to listen to an online call.

The change in date frees Lamonte Bearden up if he wanted to attend.

RMA....where for are though?  You still debating between flavors?  🙃

I re-read what I posted and it was exactly what ChubbyHubby said so decided to delete it

But if we're talking flavors this is #1. You can find it east of Syracuse. 😁

People who say mint chocolate ice cream tastes like toothpaste are only revealing that they don't brush their teeth : r/unpopularopinion

I believe Miami of Ohio is the longest trip by far. Wonder where the funds came from to fly. At any rate a good sign when Coach Burke can use that as a recruiting tool. Go Bulls!!!!

Just based off social media posts they flew private to NIU, Ohio, Miami, CMU and commercial to Stony Brook and Drexel. The others I couldn’t find or they didn’t post. Nice to see the financial support the team receives allows them to do stuff like that. Akron and Kent are probably bus trips.

claiming someone is ageist because they don't think someone displays enough energy?  ha ha  Talk about a strawman

And that’s not even an accurate stereotype. Felisha Legette-Jack had a ton of energy on the sidelines and is quite a bit older than GH3. One year her energy, disagreement with the referees, or combination of both got her called for a rare technical foul.

Having to fundraise 5k for massage therapy is not a good look why not give that women's program?  Why can't we buy player jerseys?

When FLJ was here they fundraised for winter boots or something along those lines. Don't know the reasoning behind it but it seems to get some extra money coming in.

Completely agree on the second part. I've seen family members with bootlegged jerseys, and UB WBB posted a picture of KLW signing a kid's jersey after the game (which may have been deleted?). It's a complete no-brainer and even if it involves a pre-order so that there isn't inventory risk I am sure there would be interest. They're all quite a few years graduated and I'd love a #5, #33, and #24 UB jersey. I don't think I'm the only one.

Has anyone read or heard (via interview) what Lembo has said about Patenaude?

"Dave and I have a relationship that goes back to the 1990s," Lembo said. He is a highly experienced coach and well-respected play caller. He connects well with his players and knows how to manage an offensive staff. He will do an excellent job evaluating and best utilizing our personnel."

Also, if your former school signs off, you can be eligible immediately. Last season USC Upstate would not sign off on Watson's transfer, so she had to sit the year.

It’s the NCAA, not the previous school. In the past, comments from the previous school could be used by the NCAA to help determine if they were to approve a transfer waiver.

I thought Watson was done with her transfers?? The key will be for Coach Burke and staff to keep players from leaving and any recruits coming in to stay at UB.

    Grad students have unlimited transfers.

Agreed on the second part though, as we saw the exodus last year and in the offseason. The last two WBB Freshmen of the Year transferred after winning the award (2021-22 Woolley to Cuse, 2022-23 Sydney Harris to TCU). Last year 3 of the 5 MAC All-Freshman Team transferred, though one did stay in the MAC. As we all know, if the current results hold we have the MAC Freshman of the year playing in Buffalo.

    Andy Bashor (bad IMO)

No way. Akron has won the conference in 9 of the last 10 years. The one time they did not, UB won. In the last 4 years UB either won or was in second place. If you go back further, UB has been continuously moving up to be a contender. A UB swimmer (Burns) holds multiple all time MAC records. Recently, UB swimming and diving has been better than ever

  10. Lots to be happy about here. KLW had the best game of her season/career. 21 points, 8 assists, shot 67% from the floor, 90% FT. Rana is back to taking shots and hitting them. The extra effort from Ginés and KLW is very evident watching the game, even if it isn't in the box score. Double-double from Watson. UB shot 80% from the charity stripe, while EMU shot 47%. UB also did a great job on defense, forcing EMU to take bad shots at the end of the shot clock or forcing a shot clock violation.

I am just one of many that are tired of nimby’s today like the UB donor.

Whoever you’re responding to is gaslighting you. The “Stop the Metro” founder is somebody who lives in the university heights area, has no affiliation with UB, and went to university in Ohio. The town of Tonawanda supervisor that’s also in vocal opposition to it? Canisius grad who appears on the Canisius “Power 250”

Really like what I see and hear from this guy. Seems really happy to be here in Buffalo specifically, not just another stepping stone job.

I think it’s entirely possible this is a stepping stone job for him but right now I’d welcome it. Lance brought us a ton of success on the field and I’ll take that over losing to FCS teams.

Dillard, Fair and Reid and there are many more.

It was awesome listening to the Ohio U play by play analyst list our players that dominated the MAC. Though he did miss Joanna Smith

    2015: Joanna Smith, 621

    2016: Joanna Smith, 551

    2017: Cierra Dillard, 566

    2018: Cierra Dillard, 856

    2019: Dyaisha Fair, 660

    2020: Dyaisha Fair, 579

    2021: Dyaisha Fair, 796

2022: "Felisha Legette-Jack is gone. We're finally free of UB players dropping 25+ on us!"

2023: Chellia Watson, 476 and counting

2024: Wait till you hear about her eligibility!

The CMU Bradford/Hudson/Frost/Moore/Kelly run is finally over, there's still gas in the tank here.

    6. Pete Lembo, Buffalo

Lembo has won at every one of his stops across multiple levels of competition. Most importantly, he went 33-29 in five seasons at Ball State, another MAC program with limited resources that demands careful talent evaluation and player development to make ends meet. Since leaving the Cardinals after the 2015 season, Lembo has worked as an assistant at Maryland, Rice, Memphis and South Carolina. He's one of the top Group of Five hires of the cycle.
