Shame Lamonte couldn't get in on beating the Mountaineers too. Best of luck to him, and hope he gets everything together.

If the seats behind the benches aren't 95%+ full this season they should turn it back over to students. If this team doesn't get people out to AA I don't know what will. Past few seasons students have shown up and should be rewarded for doing so.

Have not heard why Niagara is not on the schedule??? No matter how good we become St.Bona, Canisius and Niagara should always be on the schedule. Hopefully someone in the UB admin can give an answer. Go Bulls!!!!
Sources, which I will not name, have confirmed to me that Jeremy Harris, CJ Massinburg, and Dontay Caruthers traumatized the Purple Eagles last year to the extent that all three of them were permanently banned from campus.

The parking should be fine once winter break begins. The only remedy would be to specifically block off one or two additional lots on game days (weeknight games when classes are in session is the big issue) for the general public and have to charge $.
Unfortunately this would be a burden on students in class as parking on the south side of campus is already brutal, even on non-game nights.
Last year I parked in the special events lot for the Bona game and I will never make that mistake again.
Other options if you are okay walking a little bit: Furnas or Jarvis lot. If you want guaranteed parking, park in Ellicott and take the Stampede to the student union.

Hoping that some of the lower ranked teams lose a couple games so that we can move up. I don't think that performance is enough to get us to move up without some losses.

Calvin Cage and BJ Walker were in my freshmen year English class. I remember BJ Walker was pretty damn good, but ended up transferring to Nebraska? That team could have been even better.
Basketball team was 5-23 (2-16 MAC) my freshman year, Football team was 1-11 (0-8 MAC). Amazing how far they have come.
I am surprised this board isn't more active with all the recent success of football and basketball team. I feel like it used to be more active back in those days.
Given social media, reddit, Bull Run, etc it's much easier to discuss Bulls on other platforms. Not a knock to admin or anybody else, it just seems like across the board message boards are getting less popular.
I graduated a few years ago and I'm probably one of the youngest members on here.

Hoping that Oats locked up the players' cell phones except for a short period of time for family, etc. Don't need any distractions.

CJ may be the greatest. It may be because the timing of my tenure at UB, but to me, the greatest will always be Turner Battle. The numbers won’t back me up but just him coming here changed the culture and future of this program. CJ came into a track meet where Turner arrived in quick sand. Both awesome. As was Mr Pellom. But our current status just doesn’t happen in my mind without TB, maybe a different kind of great I suppose.
CJ came in at a turning point. Were we going to build on the successes of a hired away coach or fall back into mediocrity?

The travel ban is to Indiana, North Carolina and Mississippi.

This is factually incorrect. Indiana is not part of any current NYS travel ban.

My favorite was the Graves dunk at the beginning of the second half. Not the dunk itself, but the WVU fans around me talking about Graves showboating when his team is going to "get their asses beat."🤔

Does anyone in your place of employment make the same as someone with 20 more years of experience?
I get your point but bad analogy. Lou Tepper made $130k at UB with 45 years of experience.

Would you rather be
Oats with 1.1 million over 3 years with 2 Conference Championships, 2 NCAA Appearances and a NCAA win or
Hurley with 4.9 million over 3 years with 0 conference championships, 1 NCAA appearance and 0 wins.It seems in the 1 and done era, you have as good a chance to make it to the final four as an elite mid-major than an average major. So why leave?
That dynamic may change once the 1 and done era ends again, sadly.I mean I like money but idk where Oats’ priorities lie. I imagine he likes to win so your point makes sense

Need public support to fund it. I think buffalo’s waking up to it though.
Sabres look better this season but there’s more than enough people in Buffalo that there should not be an attendance conflict.
If Oats does stick around, it would be amazing. He owes us nothing (besides his buyout) - I cannot say that I would pass up a 4x raise for doing the same job elsewhere.

Right. Because it's for the BAND! The optics of marching band starts at "and one time, at band camp..." and doesn't go up from there, so begging doesn't hurt. 😆
You cannot possibly be this ignorant...there are FBS bands that have 7 figure budgets. Ohio State and USC's bands are incredibly visible and highly regarded even outside of football fans.
Any MEAC band has better optics than their football team. Remember when Morgan State came here? There's an entire FCS conference of (typically) bad football, and impressive bands.

Didn’t want to start a new thread for this but ot, has anyone seen NIU’s schedule? Three games in 11 days? With travel across the country to play in a high altitude game to boot. If UB did that shit to its students, I’d probably cancel my donation. Wtf.
With midweek games, that happens. We had 3 in 12 in 2016 without a bye week beforehand.

Albany built their track for 5 Million in 2013, Stony Brook built theirs for 3 Million in 2011. It can be done cheaper. Maybe UNT went top shelf? or Maybe Texas has some restrictive state requirements as well...I read they had some ground stability issues they had to solve before building.
Why can't we repurpose Kunz? I imagine it would be much cheaper

I will now be a laughingstock at my work for insisting everyone tune in to watch the Army game and see how UB is up and coming.
We had a shit game, but stuff like this happens. Look at the Bills first game, or what they did to the Vikings. A team fell flat. And we did that today.
We're 4-1. We're still (at least I'm still) looking at Detroit. We still have a ton of talent.

but I don't see Pitt, Cincy or Memphis on the map, why not?
Who in their right mind would root for Pitt when there's Penn State and WVU nearby? Hell even Ohio State is a better choice.
