  1. I find it hard to believe there's no incremental cost in terms of opex for playing games at an NFL stadium. Also, the 26k at Ralph Wilson was primarily driven by the success of the team that year, not the fact that it was in an NFL stadium. Both UB and BGSU were 8-3 at the start of that game and battling for a spot in the MAC title against a top-25 NIU team. The Bills were not a playoff team and we had a super star in Khalil Mack projecting to go early in the 1st round. We were the best ticket in town and it showed at home as well since we averaged 22k in attendance at UB Stadium too.

I'm not saying there couldn't be lift from playing in an NFL stadium but the Ralph Wilson game didn't really show us much promise given that it was only 3k more than our season average at home. Now, if we did 40k in that game then we may have a selling point.

Unfortunately I don’t foresee a lot of students tonight. Our app where we get our free tickets isn’t working right now, they don’t even have the game on there.

Can we finally admit that our AD is doing a very poor job? Shitty apps for our students that don't work, wifi issues in Alumni, crappy DJs blasting out of date music, poor scheduling in the big sports, terrible Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Nights, as well as very questionable hiring/extensions for our coaches. AD Alnutt is the weak link here.

Being "in the wrong place, at the wrong time" is one thing.  Taking a gun to the "wrong place" is another.  He's not being charged because "he didn't know the gun that was requested was going to be used in committing a crime."  I wonder what he thought it was requested for.

He brought a gun to somebody who said they needed it because someone mouthed off at them at a bar. In a state like Alabama that could easily be seen as bringing somebody their gun for self protection. I don't agree with it but this is what super lax gun laws get you. The DA even said they couldn't charge him with anything given Alabama laws.

When opposing fanbases in your conference begin to look at your team with apathy, that's normally a sign that your program is regressing and should consider making a change.

BobcatAttack called this from day 1. There have been dozens of posts over the last 4 years wondering why the hell we would “blow it all up” after making it all the way to the top 25.

Foster still ran point most of the night I thought, with Zid and Curtis taking turns when Foster sat. The high weave we run with the three guards can leave any of those three with the ball up top at times. Maybe there was a shift in strategy in the second half, but I didn't notice.

Sure seemed like Zid was more involved than any game I’ve seen since Colgate. He is what he is too, a turnover or a highlight reel. Either way, another loss. Next up, at Ohio where they’re currently dismantling Akron. This season is over.

To my eye they started doubling our high screens, which is the basis for almost all of our sets. We don't have a very advanced offensive playbook and it's easy for the better teams to figure out this year.

Is this why our gameplan was to give the ball to Zid at the top of the key on 100% of the plays? We don't have anyone else who can break the pressure? This was a complete shift from what we normally see from this team and it was a disaster. We finally had a shot at winning our first game against a good opponent all season and we came out with a completely fresh strategy that produced nothing. Am I wrong?

Coach Burke’s post game tweets for patience and hang with us have dried up. I’ll still support, but have tempered expectations.

She's in her first year with a completely revamped roster. If Whitesell gets 4+ seasons of tolerance after inheriting a $hitload of talent, then Burke should get 5+ before we lose any patience.

  8. I don't think Alabama is a blue blood but I think Nate Oats is on a rocket ship to blue blood status as a coach. So far, everything he has touched has turned to gold. If he keeps Bama up near the top he'll be in discussions for a blue blood position like KU or UK should an opening ever come about.

ULL had a non-con opening and already has an FCS team on the schedule, needed an FBS team to fill out their schedule for this season. ODU had 4 FBS teams for non-con this season, so they traded the H&H w/ UB to ULL.

But we already played AT Old Dominion so that means all we gained was an Away game at Louisiana... Is this correct?

My criticism of the PA dude comes across as ‘ad hominem’. I wish I hadn’t put my beef as such. However, we are done with UB basketball because of noise unrelated to the game, the band, the cheering et al.

You could always root for the Griffs. You won't have any noise to deal with in that gym.
