I've had complaints about the WIFI for the past several months. Was thinking of sending an email to the ticket office to complain but I figured it just wasn't important enough and was hoping it would get fixed on its own.  I'm sure nobody on the staff realizes it isn't working.

It’s tough to work but you have to log into the wifi twice for it to activate and then you have to constantly use it or you need to log in twice again.

  2. I was really thinking about asking the students for the chick fil e meal, looked so much better. While we waited in line our line ran out of plates twice which slowed everything down. The pizza was bad and small. I was also thinking they might as well not have done it because I felt less appreciated, not more. Would have been better to just do nothing. Also, all the tables were taken so we went to our season ticket seats. Maybe they should have just given vouchers to the concession stands. Though they really need to improve the concession offerings.

Over the past 20+ years I have attended nearly every men’s home game. The atmosphere inside the arena has often been electric. But as I get older (Class of ‘75 alum) I find myself making excuses for not going. Why? Like many in this group, I bristle that UB does not go all-in on the BB program, and I’m often disappointed in the poor showing by students. But in truth it’s also the cumulative effect of smaller things…frequent coinciding events at Center for Arts makes parking difficult, egress from campus is maddening thanks to Campus police, amenities in AA are poor (long lines for rest rooms and refreshments), and lastly, it’s time to dump this repetitive, irritating DJ concept…

The food choices at concession are terrible. We know UB has some good kitchens with that new international pavilion. How about offering some of that?

How about this stat for Armoni Foster, he is really starting to find his way. This was published by Josh Whetzel:

"Armoni is first Bull in at least ten years to be perfect from the floor with at least eight shot attempts. He’s first in country this season to go at least 8 for 8 from field while also dishing out at least seven assists."

Always curious how they get these stats. First he filtered to all players with at least 7 assists. Then he filtered those to all players who have hit 100% in a game. Then he sorted that by numbers of shots taken and Armoni is on top?

If we don't seriously turn it around I'm not sure what salvages Whitesell's job beyond a complete commitment from 100% of the roster to stay and build for next year. If any of them leave they should probably take JW with them. We cannot afford another rebuilding year. Our entire brand is on life support.

If we take another coach the. We are guaranteed a rebuilding year

3 total pre-game posts on ubfan, 25 fans in the stands, a 200th ranked squad... this is so sad compared to where we were a couple of years ago.

Early Jan games are always like this. Will be different once school is in session. Also we have a few hundred fans here.

With Albany and Binghamton in the same conference, it is unlikely they would ever agree to this.  They do not want to play each other possibly four times in a season, or give up a home conference game.

If we’re going to count Cornell as part of Suny then Syracuse should also be counted

Just because JW isn't working out doesn't mean that we can't get a good coach in, or more importantly that paying more money means you get a better coach.

We made a money decision to pay less. If we won’t pay more for a better coach but will pay less for a worse coach, we will see worse performance. We’re better off taking the risk on a higher paid coach than purposefully selecting a coach we know will be worse to save the $. Or let’s admit we’ll always pay for the lower performing coach and let’s relegate to a conference where that coach has a chance.

However, I do think you hit on one sad fact is that if they get rid of Whitesell, they will still have the low budget to contend with, so likely we find ourselves back in same place in four years.

If that’s the case, should we think about relegating to a lower conference? Seems like we won’t be competitive in the MAC unless we spend some more $$$. Maybe better off somewhere more akin to the old MCC, when we were there.

News flash UB Bulls basketball attendance tonight wouldn’t have filled KAC the so called high school gym to this UB alums. UB Bulls drew 500 more fans than the Canisius Golden Griffins basketball team coming off a 20 loss season and no hope with Reggie Witherspoon that most want fired at Canisius. UB alums need to look in the mirror a state school only draws 1,800 on opening night that is embarrassing. Don’t tell me UB basketball is special or it is Western New York’s fault. UB students are too lazy to walk across campus to attend opening night pathetic the blame belong where it alway should be the UB community sucks at attending sports events let’s just be honest with ourselves. UB the school is lacking school pride for such a huge state school that hasn’t changed in 30 plus years and I don’t see it ever changing we draw like small private Catholic schools pathetic be honest enough with the excuses shoulda, woulda, coulda well UB doesn’t draw. UB alumni arena should be sold out every night if there was any UB student pride which there isn’t in my opinion. UB Horns Up! Go Bulls! Let’s Go Buffalo

If you look at prior years, attendance spikes in January and February. It’s normal.

CIT is now the Basketball Classic. It has expanded to 32 teams and no more pay to host.

Ohio made the CBI. I’d imagine Kent gets an invite to the basketball classic. Maybe we do?

How can they afford it without pay to host?
