That's debatable whether it really would have made a difference.  UB's net ranking was 15.  I mean, if they don't lose to NIU their ranking is what?  12? 13?.  If the committee can ignore a 15 they can ignore a 12 or 13.

Also, last year they were in Boise and still had some fans.

I think they deserved a 5 seed, but were penalized 1 for being a mid major, which isn't too bad.  I do like the potential matchup wtih ASU and by getting a play in game team they are one of the top 2 6 seeds, so #21 or #22 in the country, which is maybe a bit low, but not too unfair.  

I also like that we might get #2 Michigan which IMO is the weakest #2 seed, and wouldn't play #1 Gonzaga until the Elite 8.

So getting a 6 seed with a play in game team means they were essentially #21 or #22.  I think that's a little low, but also pretty fair.  It's worse than their NET, but UB only has 1 win over a tournament team, which probably hurt them.  I think they should have been a 5 seed, but I think 6 is ok and they have a good matchup and path forward.  As a 6 seed they wouldn't meet Gonzaga until the Elite Eight.

Don't really care but if I had a choice it would be NIU.  BG might be better for our KenPom/NET but not enough to make a real difference in seeding IMO.  BG is the better team and I don't believe we lost to NIU because of much of anything special NIU did.  

BasketBull and I just got our tickets for tomorrow.  UB box office told me today their entire allotment was already sold so I would need to get them right from Quicken loans arena or scalp them.  Just scored 2 in row 4 behind the UB bench

Buffalo looks confused and lacking confidence.  CMU has the swagger.  Going to be extremely tough to hold on to this.  UB needs someone to step up now...and no one consistently is.

It was a temporary shrug by McRae.  Hi was just asleep on D leading to him having to take a bad foul.

Perfect time for a real run here.  They've had chances to, but every time UB makes a momentum swinging play, they immediately fuck it up with a defensive breakdown or inability to secure the ball for a turnover.  Gotten start stringing together good plays rather than alternating between good and bad

I think Montell has touched the ball like 3 times tonight and each has been a turnover or a bobbled rebound or something.  Bad.

Haven't seen much of a difference in UB's play thus far this half.  Combine that with CMU getting hot from 3 and they are utterly DOOMED if they don't decide to start working and focusing.

I'll get killed for this, but CJ has been very quiet the last few weeks.  He had one game where he still hit his average but all but 2 or 4 of his points came from free throws.  He just hasn't been himself.  He need to assert himself and take over this game.  He was downright bad that first half on offense and ineffective on defense.  They can all play better but it needs to start with your undisputed captain.
