We can’t win the Mac tourney. That will require us to play 4 good games in a row. Not possible w this team, sorry but tired of hearing this talk about we can still win in tourney. I was optimistic like you most of the way, but I’m done this team just not good.

I agree about Jordan, but how about Graves, I’m sorry but all this talk about Graves being an all conference player before season, he’s trash. Can’t be relied upon to score on consistent basis. So many games with numbers like this. This team will be lucky to host a game in conference tournament.

What a game, huge win. Gabe grant stepping up, I gotta give the kid credit where due. I think he is finally kind of understanding his role off bench and not forcing it. Johnson finally playing up to his potential too. It’s clear we can beat anyone or lose to anyone, just hoping to see some consistency in the bowling green game, which is a game we gotta find a way to get.

It’s not looking good to get a top 4 seed which is what you ultimately need to get that bye game. Kent state game was kind of a must win considering the games they playing now. Expect them to get beat by Akron on the road and back to .500 in conference.

Agree with most of your points here. But can’t think of this as just a “growing pains” loss. It’s a lack of focus loss where they didn’t come out strong in the first half, and just couldn’t execute. Player who needs to be called out to me is Jayvon, for a leader of this team he has had way too many no shows in big moments of the game. Another piss poor offensive performance, he’s put up numbers this year, but overall just has had too many bad games for what I was expecting coming into this year.

Expect us to get smoked next game at Akron, pathetic performance on home court. Turnovers were embarrassing, we can’t shoot free throws including jayvon who should be a much better ft shooter. National TV game and didn’t show up. Kent state hit multiple lucky shots, but we shouldn’t have been in that position. Pippen a better free throw shooter than anyone on our team. And where the hell was jeenathan williams in second half! Really pissed we needed that game, was a really bad loss and predicting it will bite us in the end.

Nice win, not great defense in first half but came out strong in second and finished the deal. Finally we are seeing the potential we we’re hoping for at beginning of season w Johnson, he’s playing solid all around and not forcing. Really difficult stretch coming up, Kent state been struggling lately and I think that’s the one we need to take advantage of at home. Win that and we will be in good shape going into Akron.

God the officiating is horrible, western player was out of bounds on last possession and then passed it to guy who got blocked clearly. Have to beat western and the zebras.

Huge win! And really needed this one with how our schedule shakes out. Can not overlook Western Michigan on Tuesday. Michael flowers really talented and must contain him. We get past that game, then gonna be a brutal stretch against arguably the best 3 teams in entire conference.

Ah didn’t know. He did look a bit sluggish so makes sense now.

Sad to say, but 3 games into Mac schedule this is a must win. We haven’t even played the top teams in conference yet. Better come out with some urgency, tired of us down 10 before the first media timeout.

So disappointed with this season. Boy I really thought we were still right at the top and able to win the conference. It’s looking like that is a pipe dream. Just too many things not going our way to be able to compete for a championship. For 1, all of the transfers and incoming players have been busts, except for Mballa. Johnson has been maybe the worst player I’ve seen play for Buffalo in a long time, he can’t do anything offensively or defensively. He really hurts the team. Graves has been a disappointment overall, he’s had some good games but a lot of bad ones also, he’s just not a leader out there, he was better in the role he was in last few years. We just play with lack of intensity and basketball smarts, and it’s showing and I blame the coaching partly on that. I love Segu, and think he will be a solid player for us, but let’s be real the top guards in conference are gonna just bully ball him to the rack and score on him, he just not strong enough to stop it. I’m still hoping I’m wrong and things will change, but we let’s see when they play the tougher teams like Kent state and Akron and bowling green how they fare.

Why is Johnson in this game? He can’t do anything.

He flopped on that last one, but I’m sure didn’t get a warning like we’ve been getting.

Johnson is not a division 1 player. One of the worst players I’ve seen it’s embarrassing.

Segu can’t defend anyone getting owned

Really man, I think it’s sort of evident but if you insist: Free throw shooting- we are one of the worst in D1. Don’t know our exact % but believe it is low 60s from what I heard on tv. That is a fundamental basketball skill shooting free throws. Turnovers- granted this game it wasn’t the issue at all, but for most part it’s been a problem for us. Help side defense- Non-existent for the most part, you watch the games I think you’ve seen all the easy layups. Taking charges- this is a huge element of the college game and we were really good at this the last couple years, but I’ve been watching all these games and this team really not getting many of them. Davonta been trying but has not been getting as many as in the past. There are others but these are some of the big ones. Also, I never said no one is dogging it, that’s your words so change mine as you may. I said lack of effort, meaning they are not going as hard as they possibly can. That goes to diving on floors and just playing lockdown defense, they extra hustle plays. Not gonna pinpoint any player, at times it’s been everyone but I think you would agree there has been times when we been sluggish it’s pretty apparent I think anyone would agree.

Winning it all in Cleveland. Right now I’m not confident about them winning 3 or potentially 4 games in a row, so I’m gonna stay odds are not very good right now. Home games are must wins especially against the lower level teams in the conference. Your gonna lose probably to the Kent states or Akron on the road so these are must wins. Tired if hearing oh yeah they can beat anyone so they can still win mac tournament. You gotta set yourself up by getting a top 4 seed. Which means you don’t lose to northern Illinois at home. I know expectActions are so high after last few years, but it’s the lack of effort and fundamentals that’s really frustrating to watch.

Absolutely pathetic, there was talk of Graves being all conference player, and he is definitely not. He has had many games like this, unacceptable and he’s not playing good defense either. Not just him, but he’s Is apparently one of the leaders.
