  1. Great 3 quarters, before running into the buzzsaw combo of (seemingly paid off) one-sided officiating and a good team. Sadly, their coach is the biggest POS in the league, causing a scuffle going through the line. Class act, as always.

This team is good, but definitely can't go up against officials. They're just not deep enough for that. I don't wager that teams in this league will want to play these Bulls. They go so hard to the basket. BB is definitely a good one. I wonder if Wyatt will be the next Nate Oats, waiting in the wings. He's another good one on that bench.

  2. 2-1 in MAC. Who'd have thought that after losing to Canisius to open the season, or watching the D2 loss vs Mercyhurst? 6-1 in the last 7, what a turn around. If they go .500+ in MAC, she should win coach of the year hands down.

I really want to like this team but they get so sloppy at times. The overall shooting is atrocious even lots of missed layups

Hard not to like this team. They play hard and play big minutes. They just have no depth and have other lacking attributes as well, but considering it's literally a completely new team other than 1 player, it's a lot better than I anticipated. They will be competitive throughout the season as long as they don't get last night's men's officiating crew, as they can't afford a foul-fest game.

And BG picked to finish in the bottom 1/3 of the MAC, is 2-0.

Also Kent squeaked out a 3-Pt win over MOH another bottom 1/3 team, and EMU picked up their first conference win.  Going to be a fun season in the MAC

All those teams should fire their coaches, even the ones that won, because they didn't win by enough.

  5. Guys played well. Were there stretches of less than stellar play, but every team does that at times. The game was extremely entertaining and it was awesome to see the effort and great team play overall on both ends of the floor. Always a good thing to open up MAC play with a win, especially against Ohio. Hopefully they can string a few together to start off. Love the positive vibes this group gives off as a team, seems better overall than the past couple of years. Hoping for another, and a bigger crowd, on Saturday!

  6. I thought this team played hard and is just appears much improved from the start of the season. If Zid is back and playing at his best, the team will definitely pose a challenge in every game in the MAC. The team seems to give off a lot more positive energy overall as a unit than the past couple of years. The previous teams tended to have a few "negative nellies" with a lot of bad body language both on the floor and bench. If Chatman can add to the team, it will only improve their chances. If not, I think this team can still contend in every game. I'd love to see this group catch fire early and rattle off 3 or 4 in a row to build some great momentum as the students return.

Both the men's and women's teams have both improved as their seasons have gone on. That's a positive sign. Not sure what that will mean in March, but for right now, things are looking up.

Well said. I'm not sure how many waves the women's team will be able to make in the MAC this season, but the men's team will be competitive and have a chance in Cleveland. What % that equates to, no idea, but they will have a better chance than most.

Another good DB is out.  Gonna be a rough one.  Maybe these guys don’t want to be exposed by Vantrease.

Forever a Bull. Has to be more to this story. If not, then as far into bizarro land that I thought we were in, we are in much deeper of it than I could've imagined.

Their players literally ride our guys all the way up the court. Tripping, all kinds of crap, yet the whistles are silent. Plus a 6’10 270 lb player and has 1 foul, please.

It's hard to win versus a team that is supposed to be better than you when the whistles are tight in the 1st half putting many guys in foul trouble. Then Zid gets dinged up too, causing another issue. This team will be competitive in the MAC.

Final score 82-48.  Ohio now 5-5, and seem  to be in a similar state as UB somewhere in the middle tier of the MAC.

Probably should fire Boals. Teams aren't allowed to have bad games, especially when they have a 75% new roster. Their players all suck too.

  11. Happy to see the guys playing up to what their individual talents are, and taking care of things as a group over these past few games, especially the last 2 at home. Also happy for the coaching staff, who put together a team that does have some solid talent, after being depleted by graduation and a couple of transfers out. While this team won't be a top 25 team like a few years ago, this team is more than capable of competing in the MAC for a title. Will they win it? Maybe, maybe not. There's 12 teams in the league and their chances are better than many and likely comparable to the remainder. Let's hope they keep playing team basketball and staying within themselves. The record is now even and will likely move above .500 against a sub-par opponent on Tuesday, before hitting a gauntlet over the rest of the month before MAC play. Fun times recently, let's hope it continues!

He's a trash ref. It was called a 3 on the court, he decided to overrule his ref teammate without conversation as he walked off the court. Not the same, but not unexpected from him. The sad thing is we are even talking about it. It should have been a 10-20 point win. My daughter is a swimmer in the PSAC conference, they have a lot of solid competition and very good teams. Even so, it's D2 I will have to chart how Mercyhurst does in conference now. They looked like they had fire to me. Hopefully they outperform expectations in the conference.

That team played well together and the coach was big time all-in throughout. They hit a ton of shots, especially down the stretch. Disappointing that this is the team we played even with, especially after the past many years of success, but unfortunately this is our world now, at least for this season.

    I know.

    Call on the court: 3

Does it look like a 2: Yes (my opinion)

Is there a definitive angle that shows it was a 2: No (my opinion, which clearly the refs have x ray vision or something)

    Call should remain a 3.

Either way, it mattered less than the later call that was botched and we still lost by 2 to a D2 team.

Steratore called it a 2 on the floor as he came over to review. It looked like a 3 from the one angle, but not conclusive. The out of bounds seemed apparent, but not to their eyes, I guess.

  14. Nice win. Good to see the Adams we hoped for, hopefully we can see this more consistently. The team has had a different guy/guys play decent every game. We can see the talent is there, now they just need to put it together as a group. Other than the stinker vs JMU and a bit of being a little overmatched vs UConn, they've gone 2-2 against teams that are basically toss up games. For the early season, it's just good to see some growth after today's win, especially considering they could've won each of the first two games in paradise, before letting them slip away. It'll be nice to see how they do against Canisius, as they should beat them handily (although likely won't, but hopefully will at least pull out a nice W).
