Mballa is a black hole on both sides right now. Standing around on offensive rebound opportunities, and taking his time for self pity after every miss. He's not worth playing right now.

6 assists and 15 turnovers between the two teams. Not pretty basketball to start.

it didn't result in anything on the scoreboard but I respected the decision to go with 2 PG on the court for a few minutes with Jones and Segu.

Ohio’s defensive intensity is world’s better than Buffalo’s. 

Toledo has always fielded a team whose shooting has made up for their athleticism.  Can you honestly say this Toledo team was any better than the ones we have faced over the last 5 years? Watching them they didn’t look any better. We looked slower to react and worse on offense. We used to overpower these Toledo teams physically and now it’s barely even a factor. We have completely lost our identity and it’s really discouraging.

Toledo hasn’t looked particularly impressive and we are still down 15. State of the program.

Poor post defense and transition defense to start but we’re hitting enough shots to stay ahead. 
 

Ball State loves to flop.

Definitely heartening to see such promising games from Skogman and Jones, two guys who we absolutely need production from for the rest of the year if we are going to do anything in the MAC.

Honestly a great question and I don’t think I’d be able to answer right now. I would want a legitimate coaching search to be performed and at this time am hard pressed to believe the best candidate is already on this staff.

JW is 62 and has been coaching for 40 years now. The best resolution for all parties would be for him to announce his retirement at the end of this season.

Maybe the fact that the same people calling for Whitesell’s exit are not calling for FLJ is proof of the validity of the argument rather than an overreaction to the most recent loss? I follow both teams and the women’s team struggles don’t come close to approaching the men’s.
