I am just disappointed In you Jeseph. This is weak, I know what a message board is and I thought you did also.  The rhetoric on message boards and factual inaccuracies are part of the fun.  I don’t really expect to learn or change any minds that is what this is all about. Have fun cheering for your team tomorrow.

You do realize those were your words, right...?

It should be a good game. I am really excited to see us tested by Stockard. It will be tough playing the 6th man in the RC. I know a lot of UB fans are coming down for it.

That being said, any tips about the RC and some cool concessions or anything? I have never been but heard good things.

Last time I was there a mom of a Bona student recommended we leave out the back door so we don’t get stabbed, so there’s that 🤷🏻‍♂️

I guess the question I have is why does UB even schedule this game?  You are doing us a favor by playing us and for that we are grateful.  I hope when the tournament you guys are putting together with Big East and ACC teams ( discussed in another thread) gets going you won’t forget us.

Don’t worry I’ll forget about you as soon as this game ends.

I feel the same way about Williams. Pretty disappointing start with for our highest rated (I think) recruit ever. I am sure he will figure it out eventually after learning from Oats and this great senior class. Luckily we don't have to rely on him too much this year, next year we might.

In an earlier Bulls Insider video Hodgson talked about Williams as though he's "really close" to taking that next step. Maybe this is coach-speak but this staff generally seems to speak without much of a filter. Hoping we see what they're seeing soon!

The Bulls guards will be fine, but it will take solid play from Perkins, Harris, and McRae in order to finally win one in Olean.

Harris' game is heating up and I've really liked Perkins game lately (playing strong inside and being more selective with his 3s) McRae is a confusing player to me but he's had a good stroke with his shot lately, I'll take those points when we get them! Definitely need to limit TOs if we can control the ball and play at our pace I could see this being a double-digit win.

  6. This UB (obviously) team is better than any of our teams that have taken the floor in the past. Games like these, against a strong local opponent, need to be won to continue "turning the corner" as a program.

I know they're playing better. I know the RC is going to be loud because a ranked team is coming to town. I know they got their best player back.

I don't care. They're not that good. We need to win this game and power through this incredibly tough remaining OOC schedule.

The article you liked doesn’t say what the sentence in your post says.

It never mentions the athletic department being active in the community.

The sentence was from a tweet, not my words.

There was an excellent piece in the early part of the season about teams like UB when they become successful having a hard time scheduling home games against better D1 teams. They talked to many coaches including Nate about scheduling teams and the reasons behind it. Wonder if anyone can come up with the article.

I thought people were saying we needed to go on the road to play any team.  Play Syracuse.  Play Marquette.  Play West Virginia.  Play whoever is a big name and play them anywhere.

Now you're saying not to do that?  You think home games are more important?

Yes, I think home games are likely the best way to drum up attendance... at home.

Is playing those teams in front of 2-5k Buffalo fans better than playing SouthernMiss, Northern Kentucky, or Lipscomb in front of 2-5k people in Buffalo?

Playing at home is better than playing in NYC.
