Bobby Hurley was an all time great in college. With all due respect to our current players none of them are Bobby Hurley.

I'd never watch another college bball game if UB didnt get an at large if necessary.

     Nate Oats said today that his agent has opened negotiations with UB on a new contract for him and his staff. Both sides motivated to get deal done. Could happen before MAC tournament, but talks aren't as far along as they were a year ago at this time.

While a new contract is a good sign, does it really mean much? Coaches seem to leave all the time for more money. Or am I getting senile?

I plan on going Friday and Saturday. I'd like good seats. Has anyone bought scalper tickets from fans of schools that lost? I just think getting good tix wont be an issue this way. Thoughts?

This already looks like a repeat of his days at UB. They've been decent in the regular season and flame out in the conference tourney. It appears they are just close enough that he keeps his job for way too long.

I think we are a 5 seed if we win the MAC. But regardless this tournament never goes like we think. No sense trying to look ahead when we dont even know the draw yet. Just have to beat whoever they put in front of us. 

I'm not convinced he will be here as long as Mark Few has been at Gonzaga but I do think hes being honest and will be here for at least 3-5 years.

Unless you know someone, or know someone who knows someone you may be out of luck unless you go to stub hub where I saw the minimum asking price was $41.60. Interestingly the minimum price for the Sabres game that night on stun hub is $12.00. Boy oh boy how far this program has come!! (and how far the sabres have fallen)

So just as I was thinking the selection committee might actually give UB a fair shake this year because they earned it I read all these posts. I think UB could win out and still be a 7 or 8 so they have to play a 1 or 2 and possibly (likely) stopping a run. I believe it's so corrupt they actually do things like this to prevent a mid major run as best they can.

I wonder with all the love UB has received from Gameday, Bilas and many others if the selection committee actually ranks them as highly also. I'll believe it when I see it but if we win out in impressive fashion I think we could be a 5 seed. I dont see us a 4 regardless what happens but its exciting.

I was thinking the same thing. We probably are better off the way it worked out. We could still be spinning our wheels like Canisius will continue to do until they wise up. 

I was at that game and I remember him not calling a timeout for much too long. I did however forget we were up 20. In game coaching was not a strong point for Reggie. 

As much as this season has been tremendous I've been looking ahead most of the season toward the NCAA tourney. I've been so excited just to see if they can make a run that I probably haven't enjoyed the conference games as much as I should have. I just assumed they'd win most of them. 

I still believe they are going to turn it on entering the MAC tourney and into the post season. So hard to get up for all these games being such a big favorite most nights. Starting to think Harris isnt going to get it going. 

I'm positive if UB lost the next 4 (which they wont) they would not be in the tourney.

I'm just saying theyll use a different metric if need be to screw a mid and 'help' a power conference school. I could already see the following.... UB was only 1-1 against tourney teams. WV win wasnt as good as it initially looked. San Fran didnt make the tourney. Syracuse wasnt playing well when UB beat them. I hope we get a great seed and I'm not trying to be negative but I have such disdain for the selection committee.  

I had forgot but I just came across stats from last year and saw UB was 25th in rpi. How did that equate to a 13 seed?? Nothing would surprise me with the crooked NCAA. 

Imagine all that just to GO to Cleveland lol. Times sure have changed.

15.5 point favorite. We wont be sweating this one out. I'll say it again the 'wise' guys are showing big respect to UB.

I dont know much about him other than hes supposed to be very a very good power forward I believe. Anyhow I saw an article where hes down to 5 schools...UB, Arizona St., Arkansas, DePaul and Miss St. If nothing else it's pretty good company to be in.

19 point favorites tonight I think were good. I will say Vegas respects UB.  They've had us 15 point or more favorite in many games. That never happened this often in prior years.

I cant watch the selection show if UB isnt involved. They use whatever metric is necessary to include the 9th place ACC team. If that means road wins fine, NET ranking fine, Quad 1 wins fine, SoS fine. I believe that's why they have so many metrics so theres always a reason they can look to put a certain team in or out.

You're probably right, I just do not trust the selection committee.
